Root Odin (Return phone to Stock/Factory)

I am having a "post" Odin issue. I Odin'd back to factory to take the o.t.a. modem update. Odin went smooth but the issue is that after the update, I tried to reroot with KMS, and I am now getting the dreaded "Device not found" when ever I try to start the program. I'm going to re Odin here shortly to see what I can come up with. Maybe it will let me reroot.

Did you remember to reenable debugging?

That, I did do right. LOL

I believe I found the issue. I deleted the Odin and all associated files on my computer and redownloaded everything. Apparently I was trying to load a mix of files and it did not want to work to well for me. LOL After re-Odining, I reinstalled hroark's Clockwork, and restored. I'll do without the o.t.a. update.... Thankyou hroark for you hard work.

So has anyone been successful in finding a workaround for mac/linux users?

Well, I don't know how reliable this information is so maybe we could get one brave use to give it a try and post back but supposedly odin works in wine.

created and EE14 stock version and EE14 rooted version with some extras

I updated the OP

awesome dude, thanks

hey modmins why isn't this thread sticky for cryin out loud?

flash the odin that has cwm and shabby kernel and let me know if you still have to reboot 2 times

not from updater apps, just by using cwm by itself

damn hroark, nice work. quite the time saver I would say.

yeah, I was getting tired of having to wait for the update, and re-rooting after going to stock

i was gonna make a ShabbyMod image, but he is working on ShabbyMod 1.0 and I dont want to go threw the trouble of doing it, if it will be obsolete soon

boot into cwm and do a factory reset

okay before i run this Odin recovery, I wanted to know do i need to unmount the SD card and remove it before peceeding or leave it in??And Im assuming that i already have the drivers needed being that I was able to run the bat file from one click root? is there anyway to check before i do this recovery?

sd card does not matter, it will not touch sd card

you should have drivers, when you put phone in download mode, and plug it into computer, if odin detects phone, you should be good

okay did the ordin recovery with root. didnt brick my phone(yeahhh), i have superuser in my apps but not sure how to use it to remove preset apps.

Depending on how much indepth you want to go you could use a file explorer, i use root explorer and browse the /system/app folder and long press on unwanted apps and delete. However look at the thread safe apps to remove as if you go over board you could brick your phone.

Or if you want a simple one click process just get one of shabbymods that is to your likeing and put that on.
