Just got my call from best buy BUT i signed up on the second round so i wont get mine till next week which means ill just go to verizon tomorrow morning and get it.

BTW my best buy only said they were getting 7 phones
 
just scheduled mine for 2pm. I'm number one on the pre-order list. Worth it to still wake up early and get to VZW to try to grab a phone or should I get the extra sleep and not deal with the $100 MIR?
 
Still haven't heard anything from my BB. I asked 3 times when I pre-ordered if I was guaranteed to have one on the 15th and he said yes. Guess we will see....

If you already have one waiting for you guaranteed, why bother waiting at a Verizon store trying to get one?
 
Well I just called the best buy where i ordered the phone and they told me they decided not to call anyone but they have them. What a foobar.

They also told me the computer does not allow 1 yr contracts of any sort.

We got ours in, but I am hoping it was just 1 of 2 shipments we get before thursday, because welll...it's small. >.>
 
Just received my call. Not from best buy though. I preordered thru an authorized retailer. She said she only received 3 phones. I was number 5 on the list but she likes me.
 
I can't get mine til after work tomorrow... approximately 5-5:30PM :( I wish I could go during lunch but I only get 30 mins.
 
JUST got off the phone with Best Buy. She said they have my X and I can pick it up tomorrow after 10
 
Well I am breathing a little easier now. In my giddyness for tomorrow (was planning on being at V at 7am for 8am opening) I stopped in to my Verizon corp. store to see if they were selling at MSRP (not in store, MUST order online if paying full price (in my area)), see if they had a display (NO), then I asked how many phones they had (around 20). I was nudging the CSR about whether they would have enough if I was there early (1 hr or so) and that there was definately no "pre-order". She says that I could "make an appointment." I asked if this 'guarantees' me a phone and she turns to the store manager and asks if this 'guarantees' me a phone and she replies that they are honoring any appointment they have scheduled with a new phone before selling any more.

Needless to say I made my appointment for 8am. :D

I went into best buy to make my appointment about an hour ago because i dont have a phone for them to call on. And they hadnt made any calls because they dont have any phones yet! The only reason they let me make an appointment was because i was first on the list and they still warned me they might not have the phone!

that appointment stuff is BS in my book...its basically a pre-order with out a security.. I feel like a puppet and vzw is playing games...CS is not what it was 20 years ago...ten for that matter... neither is quality control ...look at the first batch run problems on other phones...I hope MOTO will be different with this x...
