[Official Discussion] Huawei Ascend 2.1 - 2.2 Firmware Upgrade (Info updated as received!)

:eek:whaaaa!:eek: I never got this text message (not even 3 times in a row), now watch, when "Crooket" does decide to send us the update, that will be the one message out of every ten, that shows up in my phone like, 2 weeks after it was sent. and of course it won't repeat like all the others, so it will get missed amongst the repeat spams, :( sighhhhhh............oh well, hmmmmmmmmmm. . . . . . . . . . now where did I leave those rooting and modding walk-through notes?:confused:?
 
Hopefully something will hapen soon... i would say it was 3 weeks ago that it started. And lol yea i get dopubles of each one they send me.. But i will for sure let yall know if i ever get anything other than that same message. Im in arkansas so maybe they are starting out in certain areas before others.

*******EDIT******* i decided to call cricket... the lady told me i have to take my phone to the store and they will upgrade it to 2.2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im going to the store now and will hopefully post back here in about 30 minutes :)

Dam... waste of a drive... wow really going to send me to the store to wait in line 20 minutes to find out she didnt know what she was talking about.. No upgrade, but the guy i called back (that actually seemed to know what he was talking about) said that it was in the works and to check back soon.... :(

Sorry to get any hopes up...

hmmm..... the only surprise in this post was that it took you 20 minutes in line to find out she / Crooket, knew nothing.:p I could have told you that in about 20 seconds, lol.;)

Then again, if you had waited in line here in Oklahoma, it would have taken closer to an Hour and 20 minutes to confirm.:rolleyes:
 
I went into the metro store and asked when this mythical update would appear and he said soon,

but he also offered to do the unnofficial update for me..
hmm idk, but if tomarrow doesnt happen I might take him up on his offer..
 
3.0 is for tablets. There is nothing relevant about that post. Just more mindless chatter.
 
The Ascend Tapout (basically an Ascend with extra software and different battery cover) edition is being released on Metro on April 8th...with Android 2.2. Check the Metro website, it's on there. So I can only imagine the update will be out shortly.
 
Metro has already announced the update more than once, i would say that question has already been answered. The only question is when exactly it will come out.
 
did any metro users recieve a text like this today

also now when i connect my phone to my computer it shows a new folder called "BREW"
