If you ever wanted to play a game or control your android phone with your Wii remote : Control Your Android with your Wii Controller

and if you go to xda-developers.com you can download a app that expands the most recent widget to 12 or 15 most recent apps, instead of 6. You know how you usually hold the home button down and the 6 most recent ones come up. This will show 12 to 15 most recent. It could come in handy

Sorry, I don't have time to go back and do ketchup. Hell, I can't even come close to keeping up. But I do have some questions hopefully someone can answer.

Best Buy in my area doesn't carry Sprint so no pre order option there. Does Sprint do pre orders? I don't mind the mail in rebate if that's what it comes to. I have to work on the 4th, no ifs ands or buts about it. Is Radio Shack an option for pre orders or is that still an unknown?

I just know that I want this phone and I'm not sure I'll be able to get it on it's release date without some kind of pre order. :(

On the phone with retentions line now........and they said they would take $10 off now FOR 24 MONTHS and I would still be elgible for my upgrade -- REMEMBER I STILL HAVE A CONTRACT WITH THEM WITH 1 YEAR LEFT!!! IF I WAS YOU I WOULD CALL!!!
did you have to change plans?

Yes. Radio Shack will have pre-orders. There's this thread here that'll give you more details without having to read through this main thread:

BB pre-order in place. Earliest I could pick it up was 11:30 A.M. Must...wait...aarrrgghhh...3 weeks. So close.

Ok I have one question (that BSOD might be able to answer) Will the Teather programs in tha app market allow you to usb tether the evo to your computer over the 4g network. the only reason I ask is b/c I dont need to tether 8 computers, just my lap top SOMETIMES when I'm at work (night club w/ no wifi access in the DJ booth). I know alot of people have use those programs in the past, but will they work with 4g? (like USBnet and so on)
Don't know if that could be answered until the phone is in peoples hands.

Ps my son is a DJ as well, DJKillatouch (JadaKiss's DJ)

I will pay the 10 and 30 dollar fees..

I suck up so much 3g-4g GB's a month Sprint will probably pay me to leave the network..

Last month I ate up 120+GB on my overdrive device..

Video Chat alone will suck up data.

I wonder if I go into a bestbuy in one city to preorder and pick it up in another bestbuy in another city.

Not sure if someone answered this, but yes you can do that. I live about 250 miles from where I work. I am picking up my phone at work! WOO HOO.

Woooo jus got back from Best Buy, pre-ordered the phone. Lol there was no one there, and the paper he wrote me down on, I was the third person, and my appointment is at 11 am. I thought me being the 3rd person on that paper was pretty funny with all the hype about this phone, then again that could have been the second or third piece of paper :P.

^^Might be another sign that Sprint lost a lot of would-be customers with the $10 more per month shenanigans...

Glad you're here, eieio. Is the 22nd still an option? If so, can you divulge where now that pricing and "release date" has been announced?

I had my gf set up my preorder at best buy as soon as it opened lol.
Also I've never heard so many people complain about 10 dollars. Skip the damn latte in the morning if your worried about 10 dollars, or don't worry about getting ANY smartphone, because they are all more expensive than normal phones.

im tiered of this extra $10 a month...i have a real question, i dont think i've read this anywhere in this forum, but, how are the SPEAKERS in the EVO. i have a samsung moment and i'm hoping their louder, can anyone answer this question?

So seeing as this is a "Speculation" thread, I'm going to speculate. Please be advised, I have NO INSIDER INFORMATION....this is only a guess...

So everyone is talking about a possible "App" or something that may be announced on wednesday. Something that will catch the general public's attention, including Joe Sixpack (as said before)...so here is my guess:

How bout an actual application pre-installed that utilizes the front-facing camera for actual video chat?? They have said it will be available at some point, why not out of the box? This will definitely catch a lot of the public's attention!

What you guys/gals think?

I just wanted to give myself an official pat on the back for this one =]

Just to clarify, the gift card is given so you can use that towards the purchase of the phone.

Does anybody know if they account for the extra tax you pay for the gift card or are you basically eating the extra money paid cuz of the tax on the gift card? Just wondering because for me, it's an extra $5 (approx.). No big deal to me, just curious.

It's all relative..

imagine for a moment you pay $17.50 at 8.75% on $199.99

broken up... $199.99 - $50 = $149.99 @ 8.75% = $13.12

and you BB Gift Card is $50 @ 8.75% = $4.38 together = $17.50

this interest does not compound.. now if you were to go to a different best buy then you may pay a bit more or less depending on the Tax This is my tax in Crystal Lake (No Jason doesn't live here :))

hoped this helped... (and the math will be off by maybe a cent... rounded up as you would have too...)

You do realize that majority of consumers in the US, do not read every little thing regarding the EVO on the Internet?

So for one, many might not even know about the phone yet...considering it, and no other phone to mention get much Local News coverage, say as the iPhone.

So until true marketing happens, TV adds, banners on major websites, and store reps and Local news start talking bout the EVO....this community only makes up a small margin of the people that might buy it.

The 79.99 MRC might be far cheaper for them, and they get a better phone.

And considering I was #8 on my BB's list, at 1 pm when I went, I'd say it isnt doing to bad so far.

What'd you tell them exactly, if you don't mind me asking?

Agreed. My plan was to just call them once I get the Evo and see what they can do for me--I'm porting over from ATT. Also, does anyone know about this $100 porting credit I keep hearing about? I've already pre-ordered the phone through BB. :)

I just got back from my pre-order experience...2 issues:

1. I filled everything out and paid for the $50 gift card + tax ~ $54 in NYC. Then after all that she told me that my phone would be ready June 5th!

I said, then why would I pre-order, why wouldn't I just wait in line in the store on June 4? She said, because Sprint has a mail-in rebate, we have an instant rebate. That is worth it to me. She also said it might come in early so I'd likely get it the 4th.

2. I paid tax on the gift card, so the amount on the gift card is $54. If when we go to pick up the phone they plug in 199.99 in the register and it puts tax on that, around 18-19 bucks, and I use the gift card to pay for it, I'm effectively paying tax on the whole phone as well as on the $50 I already paid, so I'm paying double taxes.

Just make sure when you go in that this doesn't happen to you. It's a sneaky way they can make an extra 3-5 bucks per phone.

Are you so sure about the tax thing? Seems like something real shady and I would think other people would have noticed by now.

If you live in SE PA or South Jersey you can easily get around the tax issue by taking a drive down to Delaware which is what I plan on doing.
