Wasn't there a tweet yesterday (or the day before) about how those waiting for a long prerelease window on Verizon were going to be disappointed? For the life of me I can't find it now. If I'm not crazy and actually did see it, that would certainly fit with a preorder on the 8th and release on the 11th (Best Buy info). As far as it being a Sunday, maybe Verizon wants more people to get in store than online say that they can "offer" more accessories.

If your screen works and you have the knowledge to put your screen on a working unit I'll send you mine. The screen on my old one is a Spiderweb but the phone works.

Overall, I think Verizon's handling of this is an absolute disaster, but they are not completely insane. We will see the Nexus before Christmas, at least.

If you preorder on the 6th you don't get it in the mail until after store release? That seems odd.

Two day shipping would get it to you on the 8th. Which is what I believe Verizon uses... I think.. I'd try to have it overnighted so I could get it on the 7th if possible. ;)
 
So I just put in the page for the GNex (5801 for the phone number), and I got sniped. But nothing of interest out of the conversation.

Thanks for the offer! I think my screen is what is toast :( When I was trying to get the cover off to yank the battery, the screen was on, but as I was pulling the cover, it wasn't registering any of my touches. I've got it in a bag of rice, going to check it tonight or tomorrow morning to see if it's salvageable. :)

Does anyone envision lines at the store on release day? Been reading too long on this forum to know if 'normal' people want this phone.

The DInc had a big following/sales and we've already well surpassed that prerelease thread (if you are trying to guess level of interest), but I certainly don't remember any lines for that phone.

It is getting the most attention of any non-apple phone I can remember pre-release. Not sure what that will mean. I know at least three of my friends that want this phone bad.

No problem. I hate when anyone has to revert back to blackberry or flip phone.

The sugar-free Rockstar in the blue can is really good. Kind of a raspberry flavor. None of the chemical or cough syrup flavor................

If the 8th is a pre-order I will grab it from Best Buy if it comes out before the 15th then. I just wish we would get some sort of official word already.
