Does anybody do insurance? If so, vzw or someone else? One option I was thinking on was using my AMEX card, as they will double the manufacturer warranty. I wouldn't be droidless now if I would have done that when I purchased the droid. I've been thinking on extended warrenty options too.

Don't give VZ any more money than you have to. I have always used squaretrade for insurance on my electronics and they are top notch. Cheaper than going through VZ/Asurion as well.

I just got a call from a store saying they will be selling it tomorrow morning & there is one saved for me. Bad thing is I have visited about 6 stores in the past few weeks, so I am not sure which one it is...This is in the DFW area so its somewhere in irving, arlington, lewisville, or grapevine!
 
I stopped by the south store on my way home from my wife's ultrasound and got great news.. (ill upload pics later but its all good for the little half squat)

I walked in to the store and a sales person named Robert and the manager and a head sales person were at the front. Ive heard the nexus is coming tomorrow.. is that true. The guys looked around and shook thier head (yes). I asked do you have stock. The manager said yes. Then I said ill be here at 845 maybe with a few others..
Sooooo they put my name on one.

YYEEEEAAAAAHHHH

btw this is the Lakeland South Store in lakeland Florida. Ask For Robert :-)
 
I remember being able to lurk in this thread and after skipping a couple of days, being able to catch up in a half hour or less. Now, you skip a half day, and there is no way to read all the posts. Not easy being a lurker I tell ya.

Marshfield here. Although right now I'm in Annapolis, MD until tomorrow night. I checked with the local Corporate Store last night and they said if a phone is released while I'm here, I can get it there and don't have to wait until I get home. :)
 
FWIW: Just called two stores (one corporate and one reseller). Neither have heard anything about a launch tomorrow. Both stores denied even having any in stock. The stores I called are about an hour north of Philly.

With as much misinformation that is going around (and has been), I can't believe the phone is released until I have it in my hands. I'm still appreciative of all the work people are going through to get inside info but confusion appears to be everywhere from the top to bottom of VZW.
 
I'm coming out of that Verizon store with a phone tomorrow morning either way. If it doesn't come out tomorrow I'm "renting" a Rezound and will ream the poor VZW employee till they waive the restocking fee for me when I do finally get my GNEX.

OK MAYBE you would but still thats better then what we have all heard previously.
 
I'll report in with a call as well:

Got a nice guy on the line at my local corporate store and he's be told tomorrow as the date and just to call in the morning to make sure. Even stated that last Friday was suppose to be it, but it was pushed back.

FWIW, no one at the store would budge last week. Didn't bother asking to make an appointment as I'll just stop by when they open.

I agree and while I'm not trying to point fingers I think whichever mod or mods keep editing the thread title the way they are are not helping things. Nothing is confirmed still. As much as id like to be wrong and as much as I need a new phone, its a fact.
 
Whether or not the Nexus officially launches tomorrow, I have a feeling some of us will become owners of a new Galaxy Nexus. Others will be left empty-handed.

The ratio between proud owners and empty-handeders remains to be seen.
