Frankly, I'm surprised they didn't try to get all fancy and refer to it as an Alabaster RAZR or something of that ilk.

I'd like more corroboration on that e-mail though.

I can't help you with that...
But I can tell you I talked to the Blvd Mall location and the guy said they have stock (got them 2 weeks ago) but call first thing tomorrow morning to make sure they are being released.

Do you know what i just thought of. Those guys might be recorded and that why no info. I called my local Vz store again it it was like he wanted to tell me but he couldn't. he kind of stumbled a few words. The phone kept having pauses in it. so i thought to myself they might be recorded and thats why they won't give us any news.
he said he would call me when he get his shipments in (not a SGN shipment but regular shipments). I asked when he receives them and he said 2:00.... Sorry but i won't be waiting until 2:00 sir

Already put the electrical tape in the bag so I can tape it shut. I wouldn't put it past him to figure out a way to get it to open.
oddly enough the first call on my nexus will be to mossad about just that

Time to break my vow of silence after following this thread for 80K posts plus with my first post.
Received a text from my rep at local corp. store. " Nexus here". I have an appointment with him at noon tomorrow..Goodbye LG Cosmos, hello Nexus. Needless to say I am warily excited.

I was playing with the phone sim and noticed that in there is a tutorial for "Turn off auto-syncing".
The simulator is wrong. Unselecting this option will allow the phone to sync over the cell towers and will waste your data if you're on a limited plan.
I've reported this to Verizon. Maybe I'll get a credit to my account as a reward?
If not, at least I'll be saving some customers and employees the headache of dealing with data overages related to this.
I can see this being a big problem for parents with teens on a limited data account.

I feel your pain. My OG Droid finally died 6 weeks ago. So, since then I have been chasing the proverbial carrot that is affectionately known as the "Galaxy Nexus"
Besides, if it doesn't release tomorrow we only have to wait another week........ Oh, when will it end......?????
Haha no kidding.. It's ridiculous. My backup phone is a non smartphone, so I'm worried if I activate that then I will lose my unlimited data; but I am not sure I would have to talk to a Verizon employee (they would probably be wrong anyway).
I may risk it on the Razr if it isn't released tomorrow, but I would definitely return it. I NEED a phone lol. The $35 dollar restocking fee is my only little concern. I just wish they would announce an official release date for the Nexus.

I'm not, but it's Verizon. And they've shown they are willing to cancel a launch last minute. I hope I'm proven wrong, and I will still go to my store at 9am when they open tomorrow, but I'm not going to be surprised if they can't/won't sell me one.
Then again, I have the benefit of being able to see if all the people in the other time zones were able to get theirs. So I should know with certainty whether my vzw corporate store will sell them tomorrow morning or not by the time I get up.

Hi all, been lurking for a few days now. gotten pretty much the same responses from my local vzw stores so not much to contribute... I did ask several this afternoon about the white razr and none of them knew it was coming out tomorrow, even though it was announced by Verizon in a press release this morning...
so we know how well information is disseminated in this corporation, what a debacle this whole thing has been
(not to mention the vzw rep, who after I asked about the nexus, put me on hold and said "I need to find out what I can tell you", he came back and said "we have no stock and know nothing about a release date", i chuckled and said I know you're lying and he said "GO TO HELL!!" and hung up on me, talk about customer service)

I think Verizon makes a small PR statement about its release either tonight or tomorrow. lets it sell by its self for 10-15 days and then once the holidays are over begins to faze out the RAZR/Rezound marketing in favor of the Nexus...and i have absolutlely no proof or evidence to back any of this up.

I posted this information on Sunday after visiting a Verizon corporate store, but this thread moves so fast and you may have missed it. Now that we're getting so close, I feel it's worth repeating. I wasn't able to get any information about the Nexus that day, but the salesman did ask me if I was a veteran and when I told him that I was, he said to be sure to bring in my DD-214, which proves I was in the service and I would get 15% off.
