***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Its just amazing to me how varied the responses from vzw stores is, i called up about 5 locally in MD and although I got a couple to admit they had stock, none of them would say anything or claimed to know anything about the actual release. Most were nice people who I had a conversation with and seemed to be relatively upfront, one even blamed the delay on Samsung, said its the manufacturer holding it up (doesn't seem likely)

SO after all of that, I decided to call a vzw corporate store down in Florida where my parents are for the week, the guy has a waiting list going, says its unofficial for tomorrow, all of the communications theyve had have pointed to tomorrow, but he's been trying to get a definite answer from his higher-ups but they're being "wishy-washy" in his words.. And to completely make sure I realized I need to move to Florida, he told me they have a decent amount in stock and its too bad I'm not down there because he's got one running in the back that people are checking out

And because this thread might (WILL) be closing soon - let me add my thanks to not only the (ir)regular "cast of characters" here, but also to the AMAZING mods who work their collective butts off to keep this a professional (ok, I use that loosely) and respectable site to go for information and speculation.

I am the pitching coach for a high school here in Oklahoma. We all call baseball "humbabe".....it's what kids used to chant before the pitch. By the way, my rep still says same thing....no go for tomorrow. Hope she's wrong!

The rep at the Boylston Street store said she's dying to have the phone too. I mentioned that there are some rumored dates, and before I could finish she interrupted me and said tomorrow is a rumored date but she hasn't heard anything official.

Also called 3 RadioShacks in the area, they all denied having any in stock.

just to point out, it's a fake 302 code, instead of being in the header it's a meta html redirect (why they did this I don't know). VZW.com/galaxynexus use to have the exact same html as the testman site.

the vzw address is listed on the front of all the phones so not sure if they are waiting to put up a site tonight/tomorrow or are just going to leave the redirect in place
 
I say....I say we petition Verizon to NOT release the phone until we reach 100k posts! YEAH!

All I have to add to all the speculation is that I went to the corporate Verizon store here today and the rep there told me that they had been told that the release was now on a day to day wait because there was a battery issue and verizon wanted to wait until they had an OTA update to send out at the same time as the release. Take that with all the NACL you want.

Mind if I ask which stores admitted to having stock? I've been looking around for a while and haven't goten any stores to admit it.

I just had my local rep at a corporate store give me a call and set up an appointment for tomorrow when they open up at 9am. He is actually off today but got the word for the launch and gave me a call. Seems like a real stand-up guy. I am trying to keep my excitement to low roar right now just in case something does come up to in fact delay the launch for the umpteenth time. I will still keep the faith if it does get delayed and I will be getting this when it does launch. As it looks, so far, tomorrow is out victory day!! Here's hoping that it comes to fruition!!

I woke up at 4am last night thinking about the Nexus. I never did get back to sleep. From here on out I'm going on nothing but faith and hope that tomorrow will finally make the Nexus a reality.

Does anyone know when the frak American Idol is going to premiere?

I think X factor is going to end soon, and we need our idiots-singing fix!!
 
Anyone else notice the RAZR is nowhere to be found on the front page of vzw.com now. I'm not saying this has anything to do with the Nexus (I'm sure it doesn't), I'm just surprised Verizon would shun their baby like this. Of course, the Xyboard is there, so they replace one crappy device with another.
