How wrong is it that there are days I cannot for the life of me recall the date of my anniversary but I can say with 100% certainty that IF (when) I get this phone tomorrow, two years from now I will have NO TROUBLE AT ALL remembering my upgrade date.

I'll be mad but not pissed, I'll do my christmas shopping, head to the dentist then to work where I'll spend the rest of the day here in this forum, surrounded by people who are in the same boat as me. :p

It's going to be a major customer relations disaster. Last week, there weren't near the number of people being promised a phone as there are now, and by last wednesday afternoon most had gotten calls saying the release was postponed and not to come in.
 
Called *611, and lucked onto a terrific rep.
- The 3g-4g promo flyer was distributed to specific regional markets, and the account records are coded for all lines that are included in the promo. If your line is not coded, you don't get it. Now we know.
- The Gnex is not yet on their systems. Same thing happened with the VZW fruitphone release. The info hit their systems the day the iPhone was released for sale.

I'm at 80/20, largely because of how unpredictable this release has been, but will be in my local VZW corporate store 9AM tomorrow.

Well luckily for me, the store is kind of on the way to work for me and they open at 9am (normally 10am). So for me it's only about a 15-20 minute waste of time if it doesn't happen. I will also probably not even bother unless I see a relatively unanimous report of people able to buy them on the east coast from corporate stores...
 
I wonder who's gonna be up at 2am here trying to somehow glean whether or not another "stop the presses!" postponement announcement email was sent out to the stores. That or phoning the reps at 3am to check their emails. lol.
 
Just had a VERY interesting conversation with my local Verizon store.

This may be long, but worth the read in my opinion.. My store never typically releases information, and this worker was very informative and friendly..

Anyways, I called to ask if he had any information on the new Galaxy Nexus phone, and he told me he knew it was releasing soon, but was not positive when. Funny thing is he stumbled when he was saying this, so it was like he couldn't tell me everything..

Anyways, I then asked about the White Razr, and told him Verizon made an announcement and put me on hold. He then told me they do have that in stock, and are planning to launch that tomorrow. I told him my phone was broke, and that I wanted to wait for the Nexus, and was unsure of when it was released. (Playing dumb)

I then told him about the simulation on Verizon's website... After i said this he knew I look into this kind of stuff.. He then asked why I liked the Nexus compared to Razr, which was pretty cool to actually have a conversation IMO.

I then told him about the ICS obviously, and other specifics. He then took down my name and number told me, "Well, if this thing DOES happen to launch tomorrow, I will give you a call"

The funny thing is, with his last sentence, he basically made it obvious that it was launching tomorrow with how he sounded, so I am expecting a call around 9 A.M. tomorrow :)

I won't seriously be pissed off and I'm not going that early! :p Maybe a little disappointed I just can't see getting that upset over a phone, but hey, that's me :cool:
 
Vw has a limited supply in olympia WA and has plans to sell them first thing in the morning first come first serve. Sucks cuz i don't get off until 3 oclock.
 
When buying new phones at VZW corp stores, is it possible to have the phone billed to your account as part of the monthly cycle, or does it have to be paid for on the spot?
 
Spoke with my local manager, he said the launch tomorrow IS still happening. He was aware of the OTA coming out...maybe that was part of this delay after all?

Anyway, he did say he's got one set aside JUST FOR ME, with my name on it. Glad I'm getting it after court...otherwise...well, who knows what sounds I might have it making in court (and judges REALLY don't like that...lol.)
