i talked to two radioshacks- no idea what a nexus is...

called two premium retailers- both say it's on for tomorrow.

Called the Irvine corp store. The girl that picked up denied knowing when it will be launched but said she'll take my name and # and call me to come in tomorrow. ;)
 
Okay I need a break people. I'll check back in 3 hours after this all shakes out...

All I can say is WOW, just WOW!!!

Called a NW Ohio store nearby around 4:40 EST, and I asked about the Nexus she said without hesitation that it is actually selling tomorrow, and that I should come in early to get one.

If I waste my time driving and find out it was delayed I'm going to be pissed.
 
I wanted you guys to know a girl at vz corporate store in chicago (lincolnwood) called me and told me that they just got an update that the GN is good to go on the 15th and was %100 sure.

P.s. This was the same store I had called earlier today and spoken to my usual salesman and was told that he has no idea when it would be released.....

Like Cheetara said, they've all gotten emails saying to start selling stock tomorrow. Some care about their jobs and are either saying nothing or lying about not knowing. Others don't care that much and are telling people to come in tomorrow morning.

Way too many confirmations (I've confirmed at least 2 separate corporate stores myself) that are adamant about it being tomorrow.

They're risking more if they're lying about something that's not going to be there when you show up than lying about something that will turn out to be a pleasant surprise.
 
Called the VZ Store in Center City Philadelphia (definitely an important location). I spoke to a rep who was not tight lipped at all and told me for sure they didn't have any in the back and he's waiting to hear when they will get them in. Also spoke to another VZ store in Philadelphia and a Radioshack nearby, same thing. This is a big LTE market I doubt they'd miss it here and launch it elsewhere.


That said, I'll still be at the store at 8am just in case.
 
Hopefully I'm not ninjad but I'm on my lunch break and I decided to go in and ask my normal corp store if they have any news and she asks and sadly responds "no" we keep talking then one of the girls walks over and says I was here at the right time, she just got an e-mail saying that its official that they are going for sale tommorow. Sadly I couldnt pre order. But there is the good news guys! Rejoice!

Just now: Called the store to ask if they were able to order...here come the sad part...and the girl I spoke to said they were not able to order it, and that verizon said it will still be 2011, but not tomorrow. SOAB. She seemed as annoyed by the whole thing as I am. I am sure many vzw employees are.

Can people reporting info from reps (be it positive or negative) PLEASE indicate whether it's coming from a VZW Corporate employee or from a 3rd party/reseller? Thanks.
 
FWIW, I just finished calling and speaking to 9 (yes I really did call that many times) different telesales people for Verizon. Everyone single one of them told me that I could buy the Galaxy Nexus tomorrow through them, the website, a store or any authorized retailer starting tomorrow.
 
I feel I need to step away from this forum, I don't know if reps are lying or members are lying but I don't care to deal with the ups and downs anymore. I don't know who or what to believe.

I want the phone possibly too bad, if the phone is really delayed beyond tomorrow I will rent a Rezound.
 
market specific release?

here in rtp, nc (*super* techie and one of the original LTE test markets) 2 corp stores confirm tomorrow and lots of stock...as of ~3p.

Maybe just some stores are being notified as they are smaller stores that will not have stock in time... Just a thought..

We need to hear from a bigger corporate stores but after 5PM tonight to make sure if the news is real, they had a chance to get it.
