Makes no sense. But I am leaving work in 10 minutes, and will call my rep again. If no answer, I will call the store directly and talk to someone else.

Well I just came back from the Radioshack by where I live...this is the same one that has been telling me the generic "We have no information" for the past two weeks including yesterday. Today I came in and asked if they had it in stock, the guy went to the back and checked he said "we have about 10 in stock right now but let me call my manager to see if I can sell them". He called his manager and came back to me and said "Yes you can buy one right now, today is our release date." He turned the screen to me and showed in their system where it says it is now allowed to be sold in all locations. He then brought out the box and allowed me to play with it for a while.

The only reason I am not sitting with one in my hand right now is because I do not have an upgrade anytime soon and he told me that they are not allowed to sell the phone at full price ($799 for Radioshack) and I might want to stop by Verizon tomorrow. I have no idea why they don't allow to sell the phone for a premium (maybe they lose commission). But he told me straight up that anyone can upgrade or buy one with a new plan in Radioshack right now.

Hey guys, I'm a long time reader, first time poster.

I just called up my Boston Radio Shack and at first the guy was claiming they didn't have them. I mentioned that I heard Radio Shacks could sell them today, suddenly he "found" a Nexus. Unfortunately when he calls his manager, he's told he can't sell it yet, but recommends I call back later in the week, definitely by Friday.
 
Stop the negativity guys! As of 3pm when I picked up my gnex the rep was extremely confident its going live tomorrow, he was so confident he sold me one!! I fully expect to wake up to my gnex humming and begging me to set her up
 
What is going on!? I'm seeing all these posts of delays but I JUST got off the phone with a store employee I met with last week. She called me to say she just got an email saying tomorrow is the day. She even made an appointment with me

We will see what posters report in the next hour, but we had 3 or 4 within 15 min report they gotten calls about cancelling their appts, it's possible an updated communication came through saying not to sell the phones tomorrow.
 
IMHO, the CSRs don't really know yet; they are shooting of the hip.
The lady at the corp store near me was very hesitant when she said "uhh tomorrow". Hopefully we get lucky.
 
If it really isn't released tomorrow, that's so bad that I'll actually laugh. Way to suck the joy out of getting a new phone, Verizon. My level of disgust is almost at the point where I'll just get a different phone.
 
Ok, someone needs to leak the frakking "it's on" email OR the "it's off" email. Both cannot exist (but hell, it's Verizon, so maybe they sent both). Who knows. Definitely don't think it's happening tomorrow at this point.

Probably thinking what kind of kangaroo outfit will cancel the release after 3pm the day before. Well we now have an answer (if the latest news is true).

Cool, thanks for the post! I'm in Boston as well, which Radio Shack did you call?
 
To be completely honest, all of the posters in here saying that they were told it is delayed, i have never seen before posting in here. I could be very very wrong and just oblivious but until i see something like that from someone in here i really trust and have been posting for a long time, im still going with tomorrow. If i am completely wrong about any of you posting of a delay, im very very sorry and in no way am trying to offend you. You just gotta see it from my perspective, all of the sudden i see 3 or 4 people I havent seen before posting about a delay just doesnt seem 100% and again I am very sorry, i could be completely wrong. Please do not be angry with me if i am just being oblivious.
 
I think everyone should disregard all the email rumor hijinks about it being called off for tomorrow and just go to wherever they made their appointments, or wherever they were told to come in tomorrow.

If enough of them get sold, verizon won't be able to stop the bleeding and will be forced to release the damn phone
 
I'll preface by saying that my 200 or so posts in this thread are normally laced with a healthy dose of skepticism, but now I can't even complain:

Just came home from my local reseller. They said they'd heard in the last hour that tomorrow is a go for sure, took MY Nexus out of the box and let me play with it for about 10 minutes, put my name on a sticky on the box and said "see you at 9 tomorrow." So I'm feeling pretty good right now!
 
Now would be a great time to hear from one of the reliable sources as to whether or not this new delay rumor has any truth to it.

I need a stiff drink right now.
