I felt the same way until ZX chimed in...I trust his credibility.

No offense to other posters. We've been trolled before.
 
Way too many conflicting reports to be excited. If an email was sent calling off the launch, I doubt that every single person is going to get a call from their rep saying it's been delayed AGAIN.

It is interesting to see people continuing to post that they've just received confirmation though.
 
DO NOT DISPAIR!!! I just got a call from Sonya at the corporate store at 3019 N. Clark St. (just south of the Briar St. Theater where Blue Man Group performs) in Chicago, just around the corner from my house, she was calling to advise they just were OFFICIALLY informed that the device releases tomorrow. They open at 9 and have several units. Tomorrow is NEXUS DAY!!!

umm, dont mean to bust your bubble here but when my wife calls a friend of hers that works at our nearest corporate vzw and is told "within the last hour we were notified it is pushed back again with no date given", thats not being negative, its relaying information.

I was just thinking the same thing.

Speaking of clueless CSRs, I just returned my RAZR. Of course, the CSR insisted that I couldn't because it had been more than 14 days and I had activated it. I pointed out to him the holiday return policy on the receipt, and he said "OK, I'll try it, but I bet it doesn't work." It did, of course. :rolleyes:

He also told me there was no way the GNex was coming out tomorrow, because they hadn't heard anything (corp. store). Blah, blah, blah, corporate line, blah.

I did try a couple of local Radio Shacks. One said they had them in stock but couldn't sell them yet "maybe tomorrow", and the other said they don't have any yet.
 
Is VZW just trying to piss of their customers! Seriously this is getting ridiculous.

New Theory: The reason VZW was having all the 4G issues last week is that they have too many customers using 4G so it is clogging up their systems. So their solution is to piss customers off so they loose customers instead of beefing up their 4G!

What do you guys think?

To everyone else, I'd like to offer my opinion - if someone were less than people-oriented, running a store, and tired of the constant calls today, they might very well say, it's all delayed.

Some people are mean.

And yes, please, even tho you're frustrated, mods are thanking you in advance to keep the language light and not dirty or anything. :)

Alright, I am heading out. But called my store ( my rep didn't answer) and another CSR said it is still scheduled for the 15th, but no official word saying go yet, so who freakin knows. Worst Launch Ever. PM me with any good info!
 
Springfield, MO corporate store just called me back. They just got confirmation the Nexus IS launching tomorrow! I'll be picking mine up tomorrow morning at 9am. He said they've had a lot ofninterest in the phone but they got a pretty sizeable shipment in. He sad to be safe I should get there as early as possible.

But I got a good feeling about tomorrow. I think it's for realz this time!

Sad story. Warning in case you don't want to read it.
Earlier: Went into vzw store, reseller i think, and guy said he would be looking to order stock for his store after 3 pm, but was hopeful.
Just now: Called the store to ask if they were able to order...here come the sad part...and the girl I spoke to said they were not able to order it, and that verizon said it will still be 2011, but not tomorrow. SOAB. She seemed as annoyed by the whole thing as I am. I am sure many vzw employees are.

Getting tired of this crap myself...how bout the rest of y'all?

Edit: Just called a VZW store, not a reseller, and they said they have them in stock and will open at 9am and they will be for sale then. Has not heard of any pushback. So that is good news I guess.

btw. I am in Cary, NC.
