Really an amazing thread, thanks everyone for the entertainment and raw emotion. I'm sitting here with my new Nexus that hasn't been even turned on yet. I'm just looking at it with the plastic still on it, sitting in the box. I was able to get it without activation as I didn't want anyone touching it. I'll prob activate it soon and then immediate root as per the root thread by Scary Alien manual method.

And thanks to the mods who went beyond the call of duty here. You became real people to all of us and made this fun. Best wishes for a happy holiday season to everyone.

Back from VZW and got my Nex!!!! I was 5th in line.... the pos system was really struggling and lagging for them. Seems there are a lot of us getting the phone!!!

No wallet that I could see, except my wallet that got much lighter after getting the Gnex + accessories.

Had a little trouble activating. At first the CSR just told me to wait in the store and to come back if it didn't activate. I waited, and it seemed like it got to the google acct activation screen. tried to input my credentials, but it kept asking for a wifi connection. skipped it and everything seemed fine. Made a call just to check and it started ringing. So I leave, and find out I've got no data connection. Turn phone off, turn back on and it starts the update and installs. When done, I had the 4G symbol and data connection.

Just in case anyone has similar.
