I don't know that I agree. Neither I feel are stellar phones. both are spec'd lower than the SGSII which has been out since May of 2011. Hardly stellar in my book. Guess we will have to wait till the SGSIII... oh wait... I bet Verizon will pass on that phone too! lol

I will end up with this phone anyway since my wifes iphone has been dropped 20 times and no longer works and she is forcing me to get new phones soon. Can't wait any longer... have to jump sometime. At least I didn't jump on the Bionic!!
 
I guarantee that people will miss the days when all we had were rummers and speculations about this phone. .I personally liked the hype and the excitement. .i think most of us will miss it (especially the ones who will be let down with the outcome)

Let's hit that 12K... even without our Hansolo!! Hope we can get some actual launch dates at the announcement. Not some "will be release in a few weeks" stuff.

Based on that link, the 4430 is lower than the data spec link I was using:
  • OMAP4430 operates at up to 1 GHz
  • OMAP4460 operates at up to 1.5 GHZ
It is an issue of semantics, since "up to" is the stable max speed recommended to device makers. This suggests that the stable recommended speed is 1ghz for the 4430 and 1.5ghz for the 4460. I was wrong, since the 4430 is not up to 1.2ghz.

This SHOULD mean the Razr has a 4460, unless overclocking above recommended speed by the OEM.

I absolutely hate when companies give launch windows rather the firm dates. I understand the logic behind it, it it can be extremely annoying...

So if OMAP4430 operates at up to 1 GHz, does that mean RAZR has the 4460? WHY didn't Moto say so today at the announcement? Strange.

Still think we may be seeing a few twists with the Verizon specific phone. Like maybe it could still be clocked at 1.5 and maybe it has the 32GB storage. Also the might have been able to squeeze in a higher capacity battery too. Who knows.
 
If the battery is 1750 mAh that's a bit disappointing. Don't recall what the standard DX battery was, but first thing I did was get the extended at 1840 (?) mAh.

I'd call the ~1800 range acceptable for a 3G phone with a big display.

For a 4G phone? That's stretching it. I'd GLADLY take an extra 1-2mm and a little weight for some battery. Of course I'm sure there will be an extended battery accessory to get more money out of us. Can't blame em. Business is business. And regardless of if I get a Bionic or RAZR or GNex, I'll shell out for the damn extended battery.

I take that back.. not for the RAZR since there IS no removable battery!
