I don't understand the fascination with CM. I know it's off topic.

On topic - I don't believe Google would Bing a phone.

The reason i like cm is its the closest thing to vanilla android without having an nexus phone. I would still be running froyo on my phone right now if it werent for cm 7.1 :-(

If Google allows Bing on this phone I will lock myself in my house and survive on nothing but liver and lemon juice while watching a perpetual loop of Lawrence Welk reruns until I'm a corpse.

Should take about a day or so. Somehow I'm not nervous though. ;)

I bet that last minute changes if any are probably bigger battery and memory for verizon. Those things don't require any software updates. Or maybe google is putting out the latest update on ICS they want to put in Nexus for release. Things like that are normal and nothing to cause any major delay.

edit: not sure why Bing is all of sudden brought up here? it will never happen on Nexus.

Yeah this is kind of what I was expecting.

We're going to have to start handing out Xanax if thoughts about Bing go much further. :p

I'm forced to assume the Bing thing was moreso a conversation spark. I trust nobody actually believes there's a chance in Hades. But it does have our post count back on track.

Why would Samsung/Google release a new test device to testers and ask for their feedback about Bing?

Battery yes because of feedback on lifespan to usage ratio but that really is the only minor upgraded item that would need feedback from testers don't you think?

Idk about memory I could see battery because they wouldn't have to change really anything fcc wise and that with a different battery.

my thoughts are the "minor improvements" are a radio update to help with that possible LTE issue we heard rumblings of recently, and POSSIBLY, although IMO not likely, a larger battery. theres no reason to send out new phones to testers with a bigger battery, a simple algorithm would be able to tell them how much longer the battery would last without having to send them out. Also, they would most likely have to re-tool the rear battery covers to accomodate the larger battery, which at this point i assume they are well into the manufacturing process and would be a big expense

Software updates make sense since I am sure all the bugs aren't all worked out yet. I guess we will see but unless they are going to delay the launch past november I can't see them doing much more than anything that is software related.
