I'm this close to ordering a t-mobile GSII off contract....can get the phone for $530, and can get $30 unlimited data and 100 minutes talk. If this thing goes to december, I'm giving up on Verizon. They can never get anything right.

At the rate they're going so far, by the time they release it we'll be days away from seeing way better stuff shown at the January CES. :rolleyes:

I have. And I can see the effect that don't like in the photos. I am just hoping that I can not see it in person.

I admit that I am not your typical user. I am extremely picky about the screen. I read a lot on my phone. I have read over ~15k pages across 50 books over the last 18 months owning my OG Droid. I love the screen on it. I want as good or better on my next device.

Deep blacks and an even larger screen are also things that would be nice on the SGN, but not if it comes at the cost of crisp lines and text.

CES intro'd the Bionic, Thunderbolt, and SGSII, right? If history repeats itself, you wont see anything in your hand from that for many, many months.

It's not as bad as the bionic, but I still don't like the visual artifacting that happens. Call it grainy, crosshatching, what ever, I still don't like it. Nexus has 316 ppi which is quite higher than 256 ppi of Razr. So that effect will much much less visible if any.

My biggest concern with rezound is battery life with 1620mAh. HTC vivid hands on by Aaron at Phonedog says that Vivid is tough to last a daytime without recharging. It's got similar spec as Rezound but without LTE, HD screen. So I can't see Rezound doing goon on standard battery and extended battery will make it even bulky.

Except for the whole best network thing , nope, they can't. (Just my opinion though)
 
Maybe the chatter I heard about a December 8th release a couple weeks ago was actually true. I don't know what to think to be perfectly honest because so much info has been tossed around its hard to decipher who knows what.

One thing I do know is that this launch has been botched up so badly that I can't believe it is actually happening. Google and Samsung dropped the ball and look like amateurs.

I hope you guys get your phone this month. I really do. Good luck and here's to hoping this plays out more favorable for you all.

I expect you guys will be hearing a couple more things in the coming days....

Yes, Tbolt and Bionic was announced at CES, but SGSII was introduced at MWC in February, not at CES. SGSII was released late April. Tbolt came in March and Bionic in September. Bionic is kind of exception, and usually devices introduced at CES launches by June.

I can understand that, I know their were people that hated the incredible screen. Personally, my eyesight isn't that good, so it looked great to me :)
 
I see so may reports that have come out within the last hour even, that still report a web only release of 11/21. Until I see some evidence on the contrary, I feel confident that's exactly what will happen.
 
Haven't read the last few pages....what is all this about the phone being pushed back again? What is the newest scoop? I just woke up and it sounds as if hell broke loose over here!

as I've mentioned elsewhere THIS is why I put up with VZW. Until others can get at least close I'll put up with their crap...

Just as a nifty little side note folks may or may not know. When people talk about building "penetration" for wireless signals. That has a direct relationship to the frequency, higher frequencies have less penetration. It is one reason the original att's 1800mhz data network sucked so bad...

with VZW building their LTE on the 700mhz band they'll ensure they still lead this area by a fair margin.

Amazon has pushed the date back on their site to 12/2 for the UK one, and are telling customers this is the release date they have recieved from Samsung. I don't think there has been anything else reliable, but it has really got everyone in a tizzy about how far the release could slip.

It is starting to get so I'm actually begging for the 11/21 release to be correct, because it only seems like we are going backwards from here! These rumors of December are not cool. Bring on a November release and I'll be happy...I think. ;)
