Do we know it has no micro-SD support, other than it wasn't mentioned in the leaked specs?

Basically going off it was not mentioned and Nexus S did not have it. :( Hopefully some more small surprises in store.

And is it me, or is the name just perfect?

GALAXY NEXUS

Most of us here wanted either a Galaxy S II or the Nexus. Seems we're getting both in one phone!

I'm tickled. Simply tickled. Giggling while I'm being tickled. Almost peeing in my pants as I'm giggling and being tickled.

Come one! Are you kiddin'?! This sounds like a name for 3+ toy! Nexus Prime.. That sounds well! No, it sounds great!

I guess your right. I was hoping for the SGSII-HD. Thanks for pointing this all out....:)

Not to mention, Vandyman, that the Bionic was smooth even with Motoblur on it. We're getting a Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich! This thing will torch everything else that's out there, with no manufacturer skin taking up RAM in the background!

Jungle cat, the iPhone killed itself. This thing will kick the carcass for the next year or two.

I'm not so sure. Let's be honest, They did same thing they've done in december 2010, simply copying GSG and changing design a bit... I expected something bigger here..

beat me to it. i understand BGR has a spotty record on reports but they certainly seem confident in this one.

"We have confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be a pure Google Experience device without any third-party UI or modifications, so no TouchWiz on this one, guys. Also, one notable feature of Ice Cream Sandwich? The ability to monitor each app

Well you can still call it the Nexus Prime! And you can make little Transformer noises while it boots up, if you want, and make it fly with your hand while you make whooshing noises! :p

Nexus Megatron would have been a better name.

I prefer it to make transformer sounds on boot than to associate with my son's toy.

Ok, I understand it doesn't meet your expectations. It won't meet it for everyone. Being in Poland, do you know if the Galaxy Note will be available there? I've heard it's blazing fast, has a huge battery, and it is bigger!

Seriously. That might be the best bet for you. But I'm hoping you get the Nexus so you can stay on these threads and give me a good laugh every day.

I can hardly take them serious anymore. Their track record over the years has fallen significantly.

I would say the same thing, especially after the iPhone 5 disaster. But Kellex on Droid-Life is confirming the exact same thing and saying that they've heard it from their own, different sources. Kellex has a good reputation for inside info.

Ok, for a little perspective from the ladies...

Regarding the processor; it's not only size that matters, but the complete package.

You can have a processor clocked at 1.5Ghz that is buggy, unstable, and slow because of things like slow bus speeds and other supporting architecture that isn't optimized for that chip. Now, 1.2Ghz is the stock clock speed. Who knows what this baby will overclock to and still be stable? It will be amazing to see.

In any case, don't diss the 1.2Ghz until you can experience, ahem, the complete package.

My but someone is a little overly defensive of the small unit. Methinks you have much experiencing defending this sort of thing. ;)

Even the IP rumor king, WSJ, bit on the IP5 Sprint exclusivity deal. I know that BGR is disputed but others who are not as disputed have chimed in to say this is what they have been told by their own sources as well. Who knows though. Maybe there will be some pleasant surprises come Tuesday.

So? What were you guys hoping for? 1.5 ghz processor speed? Bigger battery? More Megapixels on the rear camera? Just curious.

I seem to remember that one of the twitter dudes said that today would be kinda epic and that we should all be excited about today, I am guessing that is what he was referring to.

Bigger i mean better with specs. Note is a monster, not for me. If this rumors are true, there is just nothing to wait, as SGS II is better with 8MP camera and SD-card slot, and than I would not understand what are you waiting for, as you can get ICS with upgrade or custom ROM.

Galaxy note is coming to Poland too.

PS. I'm here just for talk. I'm not planning any change due to my finance situation, and single-core SGS I have perfectly meets my expectations as for now. So don't worry, I'm staying here till 11th, or maybe longer.

To my knowledge, all the WSJ confirmed is that Sprint struck a 20billion dollar deal to carry the iPhone. It had no mention of iPhone 5 or 4S, only that sprint bet the company on it.

Also, it's not like we hadn't all been talking about the rumored Verizon exclusive, anyway. We all knew that that was in the cards, at least for a few weeks or months. Verizon exlucive at launch, other carriers to follow.

I'm not disappointed in the least over 1.2 GHz. The Bionic seemed very smooth for me when I played with it in the store (and that's with a bunch of extra apps installed and who knows what stuff other customers did to it), and that's just 1.0.

This phone will be fast and smooth. If you want to overclock it, I don't think that would be a problem either.

I'll be preordering the instant I can sight unseen. I, for one, am thrilled about the specs and not the least bit interested in over clocking (unlike my OC'd OG Droid!).

Very true. From a man's perspective: Nice that you can overclock a phone package but the same can't be said for the other...:D

SD Card slot. I'm fine with all the other specs. I'm stuck on a Droid Eris right now (710 max stable overclock speed )
