I think we should do what others have done, not put 100% emphasis on one day but spread it out over all the rumors. At this point I go 80% for the 21st (with so many stores claiming to not have stock or demo models I'm betting Web only) and 20% on that we wont see anything till the 8th.So how silly are we going to feel when this phone is released on Monday![]()
*We know Google expected it this month. Lots of stores are saying Monday (not clarifying if that's in store or online only but they are saying Monday. I don't think we would get this much chatter from sales people if it was just all the online rumors they were reading.)
*Someone made the point that the screenshot with 12/8 might be for the independent stores and not the corp stores. I could agree with that idea.
*Han can certainly talk more about a breach of contract than I can, being that he is a lawyer, but what I can tell you is that contracts WERE signed (to protect all parties) to get the deal on this phone. I don't have insider information to tell me such but I have a firm belief that this is how things work in the phone industry.
*Here is where I speculate: Samsung/Google was probably betting on strong Nov sales and if it is pushed back to Dec VZW would have to pay out for breach of contract. Now I was scratching my head trying to figure out how suits would justify B.O.C. over bugs in their two apps that can be easily disabled in 4.0 and could easily be updated thru the market. Now with BMX claiming that the phone doesnt have issues with the 2 bloatware apps and it is essentially ready to go I have to ask myself, and all of the readers, is it really worth selling a few more Rezounds/RAZRs and breach contract on the Nexus? [that is if my speculation that there would be a Nov clause in the contract.
*If my speculation is correct then they also knew when they signed the nexus contract many months ago they knew when the RAZR/Rezound would release. They knew they would have 3 superphones all at the same time. They didn't have a problem with that then or they would have forced google/samsung to agree to Dec.
*The delay has only caused more people to take notice of the nexus, more people than if they had just stuck to 'original schedules' and released all 3 roughly one week apart, but quietly launched the Nexus with little excitement.
Just my thoughts.
