i agree. what worries me is if VZW changes the name, then it isn't really a Nexus device. and if it isn't a Nexus, we all know what that means on VZW...
 
I like how 90% of the top posts on Verizon's facebook fan page are all about the Galaxy Nexus, lol. I bet the person in charge of managing the page (who also has no control over the Galaxy Nexus release) has to be annoyed, haha. I kind of want to post, tho... haha!

I would so love to bash that page right now, thank god I deleted my facebook months ago though :)
 
Guys I'm pretty sure no one manages the Verizon page... they don't delete posts, it's just that not all of the posts show up right away. So chill out about Verizon trying to suppress the bad criticism because they're not, it's just the way the Facebook page works, that you don't see all the wall posts as soon as they're posted.

I think this may be a wee bit of an over-dramatization over what is happening in that thread. :rolleyes:

The OP claims to have gotten hold of a GNex... until that individual posts pics that entire thread is simply opinion... and little more.

Also I know everyone is excited about beating the Inc thread so I was just wondering how long did was the Inc thread open compared to how long this thread has been open.

Im going to call BS on that entire thread.. heres why:

1: only 16gb. Unless he has a tester friend, it should have been 32GB.

2: all the 'facts' he posted about the nexus are already well known. For instance the higher res screen produced slightly better results. The 1600 quadrant test, the only 2 Verizon apps, and the verizon branding only on the back.. nothing new, all old news

3: he called the recent apps button, a menu button

4: the GPS test. everyone who has used it says its not an issue anymore, but he claims to have the old samsung issue with gps lock

just my .02 and i usually wont say that about someone, but i dont believe him at all. I wouldnt put much thought into anything coming out of there or the fact that its 16gb

Did someone get taken out behind the woodshed?

I am going to go out on a limb and predict tomorrow as the day! :D

Tomorrow this thread will become the biggest in the history of Android Forums. Great work (and some not so great work especially from yours truly) to accomplish this.

Also, our IT department shut off this site at work today...ooops. I guess that's what happens when a fully staffed IT department is working and only a few employees so they can monitor more closely. Luckily I am only working 8 more days this year.

I know my name isn't Dawnierae, but I saw it...This season has been a let down for me, but that episode brought me back :)

That's what an SSH tunnel is for ;) All work sees from my personal browsing is encrypted bits flowing to my server at home. :cool:

I actually found the misinformation in that thread pretty funny. Good for a laugh.

What would be interesting to see, is to follow all of these people's posts in the future, the ones who are in the RAZR/ReZound forums bashing the Nexus. And then in like 3-6 months if those devices don't have ICS yet (a likely scenario if you look at it historically), listen to them complain about the fact that they don't have ICS yet, whereas we would already have been on multiple versions of it. Just some food for thought. :D
