Yes, but if the negotiation is to get Wallet on the phone from the get-go, then it only makes sense that it would be allowed to be downloaded from the market. If they worked out an agreement, then you could just download it and still be covered. They wouldn't hold up the release for something like that.

My 4g is back as well. Too tired to do speed tests. I can barely open my eyes actually and i really should be headed to work. But prep for finals is wearing me out!

There hasn't been any confirmation as to a reason for the delay. But I'd wager that the "USB non-problem" is not the reason.
 
Probably already been said but did anyone notice that there was 20 accessories yesterday and none today on the VZW website.... unless I'm doing something wrong, i'm searching 5801..??

Early made that hypothesis yesterday. But as he explained, this is a result of a trashy usb cable not a phone problem. So VZW would look kinda dumb if it was the reason.

Well that or V just decided they wanted to be in control of the release date and since it was leaked they had to put a stop to it. some believe the latter.:p

Oh ok I understand what you are saying. Yeah I guess I agree with that.

I guess I was thinking Verizon was too afraid of getting smacked by the FCC if they let it release without it.

I don't know if we're the "geekiest" or "most knowledgeable". You gotta admit: stick around here long enough and you'll learn something about everything! :)
 
So recently, today was supposed to be the day back in mid November when 11/17 fell through. Tomorrow was supposed to be the day sometime last week. ...and now___________ ??

This is turning into one bad song and dnce
 
I just got into work and got an email from my account rep that the Nexus "may be delayed" and that she'll keep me posted. Again, this is someone I trust very much so you can all think whatever you want...but just passing the info along. Yesterday I was sure it was a ploy to sniff out moles etc by Verizon. Today I'm thinking it really has to do with the 4G service issue and that the phone may actually delay until next week. Either way, I'll keep you all posted with whatever I hear (which most of you will hear from your own ways before me. :)) Let's all just stay positive though because with inventory in the stores...we definitely know the launch will be soon!

P.S. - I don't buy the delay for the USB thing. They would have caught that before AND I heard it was a faulty cable (not sure if that's still true or not).

I did notice that, but if you type "Galaxy Nexus" in the search box all 28 accessories appear. I think it's possible they either removed references to 5801 in their system for now or they have changed the devices number.

don't find this to be likely, but yes, i would forgive them for the extra wait (ie for the period between dec.9 and release)
