Thats the thing though, these "top secret" release dates are not just with Verizon, it goes for mostly ever tech company (including Apple to some degree). You KNOW people want to know dates, why not tell them? Even if it is later than expected- at least your loyal customers KNOW not to go somewhere else. Am I making sense or do I sound like a crackhead? lol
If we told you, Verizon would have to kill you. :D

The more i try to think about this rationally, I come to the conclusion there has to be some actual problem with the phone.

Verizon has hundreds/thousands (not really sure how many) of people lined up at their door begging to pay them $300 (and sign up for two more years of their service), not just taking the money and running is absurd.

Well precedence says that if that's the case, we'd have already heard OR will hear by today that that was the issue all along.

Interesting that we haven't heard from The Source yet.
(I don't know why I capitalized his name...its not like he's a deity ;) )

The information is/was supposed to kept internal, without all of these "leaks" people would not be upset about a possible missed release date. If anything, blame the people who are leaking supposed information when they should not be doing it.

Let me put it this way, you go to see a magician, he stands up in front of you and SWEARS the floating girl is not a trick not a illusion. You look behind the curtain and see the wires. Now just because you looked and have proof that he lied. Does the fact that you looked negate the fact that he lied?

Just because we weren't "supposed" to know does not change the fact that VZW had a date and pushed it. Sorry.

Makes sense to me. A date with a disclaimer that it could be pushed would go a long way. But it's pretty lose-lose for them any way you look at it.

Nice Analogy, well put lol.

To a certain extent, I can understand why Apple doesn't leak ANYTHING. They ultimately protect themselves b/c ignorance is bliss and less frustration. BUT, Apple is rather timely for the most part. This is a whole new situation. Apple announced in October, and phone was released 7 days later. So overall, how this whole situation was handled between Google, Samsung, and carriers needs to be re-thought.

I know first hand that Motorola has a problem with dates...

Am I the only one that doesn't like the idea of a white one?

You're not the only one. It's just my opinion, but I think the whole "white" phone thing is just kinda....eck. When the first white iPhone came out everyone bum rushed Apple stores to get it, and everyone was like, "omg look at my new iphone! It's white!!!" It was almost like Apple gave them the white one to feel different.

It kinda reminds me of this

Right, but my question is why even have troll "leaks." Why don't these big companies just leak it themselves, even if it is a date later than expected for added protection- what could be the reason that release dates are kept so top secret? Thats my only question.

I know I won't get post #70,000, but I'm honored to be here on page 1400! Thanks Steven and all the mods, posters, and lurkers. C'mon VZW, let my people go!

So is anybody still doing the no-shave Nexus thing? Just me?

What about that dude who shaved half his beard off the other day since this Friday was all but a lock?

I am not shaving...but that's just because i'm too lazy..

But I do like your idea

This Bery tiny portion of their customers who are nowwaiting to shell out $300 for a new phone will be there when try do announce a release date and subsequently sell this phone. Most all of these waiting already pay for their service today and will only be agreeing to extend by contract for a longer term.
