The only benefit I saw from the OS 5.0 upgrade was threaded SMS. That was a big thing for me, otherwise it's just more useless BS.

On a separate yet related topic I really wish VZW would stop dumping bloatware on my frickin phone. I don't want a Bing application or NFL Mobile! If I did don't you think I would have gone to the damn app world and downloaded them? Enough already...

Those are just icons to download the app, right? I just hid those and moved on.

I'm really happy with how VZW did with the Inc - put all the VZW stuff in a separate listing in the Market. Everyone wins!

Yeah the bloatware on the Storm was unbelievable. I had a new icon pushed on my phone every week. One day, I'd like to un-hide all of my icons and see how many I actually have. I definitely agree on the win-win though. Verizon stops pissing off customers, but place all their services in a location where everyone can see and access it.
 
I have been looking around the old interweb and I was wondering what the store of choice was for getting cell phone accessories.

Per the Launch Package document:
1. Standard Display Protectors - VZW63003PKSP
2. Anti Glare Display Protectors - VZW63003PKASP - POST LAUNCH

In my opinion, the Anti Glare is the way to go.
Pros: Cuts down on the glare, less noticeable fingerprints, provides a slight tactile-feel, minimizes any pixelation
Cons: less vivid colors
I tried Zaggs invisibleSHIELD on my LG Versa and iPod Touch & hated it on both due to the orange peel look and texture.
Personally, I have ALWAYS had the best luck with the screen protectors that Verizon offers. They are typically precision cut, which although more difficult to apply, provide a near-100% coverage of the phone screen's surface.
In summary, there is no doubt in my mind that I will be ordering #2 (above) from Verizon, as soon as it's available.

Soo.. I was reading some tech news just now and I came across a pretty interesting article. I know we all love android ;), and dislike crapple, so this is just something else that we can all rub into crapple users faces. lol

Adobe Calling Quits on Flash for iPhone - PCWorld

best lines in this article:

"...the iPhone isn't the only game in town...Adobe is working closely with Google to bring Flash Player and Adobe Air to Android-based smartphones (Motorola Droid, Nexus One, HTC Incredible, Sprint Evo)..."

I'm planning on picking the SteinHeil anti-fingerprint model. I put in a request as well at their site. I hope they have them ready soon, but if I have to wait a bit I'm not worried. I'm mostly interested in it for the anti-fingerprint and anti-glare features, and it sounds like it has a really slick feel under the fingers, which I like.

Lucky! We are so jealous. What date/time did you pre-order? Did you pay with credit card or put it on your next bill? I wonder if that makes a difference (credit card = they charge you right away so they have an incentive to ship sooner). I pre-ordered mine at about 12:30 a.m on 4/20 and still have that silly "Your order is awaiting approval or phone availability. Please check back in a few days." ARGGHH!

Be sure to let us know all about your Incredible experience.

I forget to post this, so here it goes. Yesterday I talked with a Rep who then transferred me to someone else, I am sure it was internet orders or something like that. He told me he guaranteed that they are shipping on the pre-ordered Incredibles anywhere from the 26th to the 27th to have them delivered by the 29th.

I asked him if that means we could get them early, he told me yes expect them anywhere in that time frame, up until the 29th. I told him some have gotten them early, and he told me if I gave him the phone number of one of them he could tell me how but other wise he was shocked to find out anyone had already received them.

Edit: I meant to say the 26th not the 25th. sorry!

Well i dont think anyone would appreciate being told on...that is why my incredible is flying under the radar...
