So I'm sitting here catching up on this mornings posts on the forum, reading about the 'accidental' early shipments.. I have no tracking number, my order is still pending....

The doorbell rings... I get up and run I think I stepped on my puppies paw or something b/c I tripped over her. I run faster.... I don't see a truck :( Open the door! It's a freaking book I ordered from Amazon & some stupid facial soap I ordered & forgot about. I know it wasn't gonna happen but I had HOPE.... Puppy also ran out the door.... Don't know how I missed that. I need to be a little more responsible. I let a 4 month old puppy run out the house just to see if my Incredible was here. Lesson learned, shut the door or leash her next time I decide to run to the door acting all kinds of crazy.

i think you can hang this up. its part of the uniqueness of the phone and i doubt they will be replacing it.

slap a case on it and be done with it

I'm not saying that everyone who used the express shipping code got the phones early, i'm suggesting that the very select few who got the phones early used the express shipping code. Only very few got shipped before VZW figured it out and ended this...per engadget article. maybe these people ordered before you did. Can I hear from someone who actually got the phone early?

I posted something about this many pages ago. If there is a desire in the community for a smooth back plate, I could make one and produce it on an "as ordered" basis. I make replica props as a hobby and a new battery cover should not be too difficult to make. If others are interested, let me know and I will get crackin on one as soon as I get my phone.

Heh. Our great dane puppy(now 8 months old) did that......once. She now knows better than to cross the threshold of the door without explicit permission. A growl and a nudge so she rolls onto her back and a gentle palm on her chest did wonders to make her submissive and apologetic.

Hopefully you get your Droid Incredible soon.
 
OK, i know i've said it before, and i'll say it again, this time with even more "proof"...Wireless N is absolutely, 100% on the Incredible. All Verizon associates and Subject Matter Experts being trained by HTC are being trained with the Incredible having Wireless N...i sincerely hope this issue is now buried as well. Now who wants some video?:cool:

You're not alone. Every time my dog barks (which is often until today, of course), I run to the window or open the front door. LOL!

definitely interested. could you design one for when the extended battery comes out? THAT would be when i really wanted a better shaped battery cover. Seido's covers are so cheap / crude imo. the batteries are great though :D
 
Is anyone else thinking of going sans screen protector, at least for a little while? I've always preferred the look and feel of the actual screen. I keep my phone in my pocked but I always make sure there is nothing else inside with it. I've always had good luck, although I do get the occassional small scratch. However, given the shelf life of today's cell phones (>2 years), I don't think it will be a problem.

I just went to the website, but could not find the protectors for the INC.

What am I missing ?

crystal clear? yes, it does. its just like using your phone without a shield, only now you have a backup screen that can be replaced. its also why you wont lose and detail, clarity, or the smooth feel when gliding your fingers across it. the whole point of crystal clear is to make it seem like you DON'T have a protector on it.

the anti-fingerprint will NOT give you the prints but wont feel as "glass" like and wont be quite as clear. there are tradeoffs.

they wont be available until launch (4/29) or right before. you can confirm this by emailing them and requesting the droid incredible protector.

zagg (invisible shield) does have them available now. I am waiting for SGP's

If you believe the experts, you need to charge the phone 4-5 hours regardless of what the phone says - for the first few charges. It will say full charge after an hour or two but that's not enough to 'condition' the phone to get optimal performance for the life of the battery....

My advice...be patient and let it get a full charge. (Of course the people who can't wait 4-5 hours will be the first to post complaints here about the poor battery performance!)
