Hey ANON and anyone else with the phone in hand, I know that the ability to tether the Incredible is built into the phone, have you tried it to see if it works yet? If it works, that would be INCREDIBLE!
 
I JUST GOT TO PLAY WITH ONE AT MY LOCAL VERIZON STORE!!!

They have one activated unit there. It's soooo, so so good. So good. I was nervous about the plasticky feel, and its looks compared to the nexus. You guys, this thing is soo nice. Looks so good.

Tried NFL Mobile on it...flawless.

I need to get this asap!

NASH- red speaker grill is not as bad as i thought it might look. Not bad at all really.

I suggest everyone go check it out at the stores in person. I literally couldn't help but start laughing when he put the phone in my hands.

You are totally cracking me up. I had ANOTHER dream last night about the darn phone. My boyfriend thinks I'm insane. Hey, I'm just a phone geek. I am going to be "working from home" on the 29th for sure...like you...outside, with my laptop. :)

he should run these tests separate on wifi as they are sharing the same connection. he shouldn't run them both at the same time. did you notice the speed changes when he only started one accidentally? The droid as over 3000 until the incredible hopped on. good comparison for 3g though!! really lets us know that the signal strength is software related. thats a relief!

Are you kidding me, I don't know about this guy but I know not to piss my wife off. I have a good motto, unless it is something really important then my wife is right and gets her way. I actually got my wife to let me use her NE2 other wise I would have had to sell some things to get it.

I know we have the money, but yes some people, like my wife thing cell phones are just phones. GASP. I on the other hand have to have all the new technology, but not everyone is like that.

I know how he feels, I am about to be 22, and been married for 3 years and I know that you don't want the lady mad. It's a lesson if your smart, you learn it early or marriage is going to be a lot harder than it needs to be.

I'm new here and just pre-ordered the Incredible yesterday. I've had a Storm 1 since a month after the launch and am sick of waiting for the iPhone especially. Having read the great info on this site, I am officially giddy about getting the phone next week. Is it April 29th yet? Perhaps I should cryogenically freeze myself like Cartman.

They have a gold one for the same price, as well as a black one in "bulk packaging," whatever that means - not the original packaging I assume, but it's new.

That's the one I have, in pink. Works great with my Eris. I do like that purple one that mike1650 linked to though! It'd be nice not to have to adjust that stupid earpiece every time I put it on!
 
Ok, so I know I havent gotten my 'shipped' email from verizon, and I know that my incredible is sitting in a warehouse waiting for the 28th but does Fed Ex have to rub it in and drive past my house about 15 times today?!? Every time I hear the truck my heart skips a beat. As stupid as I know I am being, I just cant help myself...

same here; when I asked VZW customer service about the order purgatory, this was their response which I find a bit disconcerting:

After a review of your account I do not find indication of an order placed. I tried searching using the order number you provided, xxxxxxx, to no avail. I received a message no order for equipment found.

I am able to provide you with the toll free number for our Internet Order Team, 800-711-7773 . Their hours of operation are M-F: 8 AM - 9 PM ET Sat: 8 AM - 5 PM ET. This team may be able to give you status of your order or let your know when you should expect shipment and delivery.

Does anyone work at walmart that can check when they will have it in stock. The old lady at my walmart is pretty clueless and i could probably get away with getting one early.
