ok, I officially give up on Verizon and ever getting my NE2 moved up by now 35 days. I am a "valued customer" and they want to keep me as a customer, the appreciate the $160/month I piss away on their service. Yet there is NO WAY they will move the NE2 by 35 days for me. Not happening, no way, no chance, nothing. they will give me a $75 credit, but they can't do the $100 NE2 I am due in May.

Yea, it's only a $25 difference, but it's the point!

thank you verizon, you treat your long time customers great!

yeah the coveroo cases could be pretty fun if they were a bit cheaper or if they had the incredible, it'd be nice to get a couple for different sports seasons

they wont be available until launch (4/29) or right before. you can confirm this by emailing them and requesting the droid incredible protector.

zagg (invisible shield) does have them available now. I am waiting for SGP's

I'm waiting too... I have zagg on my Eris and have had it on every BB I've owned.... Seeing the SGP's made me finally realize what I hate about zagg

I'm also considering going "all natural" but I'll make my decision when I have the phone in hands. If I feel that it won't hold up to normal, careful use, than I'll prob get a crystal clear screen protector and a soft case...

About 100 pages ago I confirmed that my CSR had told me that I had already earned my NE2, and that it could still be applied to a 1-year contract, I just wouldn't be eligible again going forward.

Three more calls to various CSRs had them all scratching their heads in disagreement though -- it seems you have to CONTINUE to purchase two year plans in order to use that discount. Good thing I had the original rep write a very explicit note on my account saying he stated I could use my $100 NE2 toward a 1-year contract. It will probably be a bit of hassle, but I think I can still get it.

Wow, that's pretty sweet! The way I've always heard it is exactly like the CSRs have been telling you about having to continue to sign 2 year deals. Thanks though, now I can no longer say that I've never heard anyone pull it off before.:( Points hold more weight when you can use absolutes.

I used my 50% off code from last week on a ZAGG screen protector for the Incredible but I got another 50% code this week that I don't need. Here it is for someone who xan use it:

Is anyone else thinking of going sans screen protector, at least for a little while? I've always preferred the look and feel of the actual screen. I keep my phone in my pocked but I always make sure there is nothing else inside with it. I've always had good luck, although I do get the occassional small scratch. However, given the shelf life of today's cell phones (>2 years), I don't think it will be a problem.

I think I'm going to go naked. I keep my phone in a slightly padded drawstring case when not in use and I've never had an issue. Dropped my Eris on cement once while in it and not a mark on it. I'm super-careful with my phones...in 10+ years, with probably 100 or more cell phones (no joke...I'm a friggin' addict), the only time I've ruined one is when I dropped a vx8700 in a margarita on Cinco de Mayo. Seriously...it was like slow-mo...how does that happen?! The width of a glass is what, 3-4 inches? And the phone is how wide? With all of the expanse around it, it goes into the glass! But I digress...:D Yes, I do plan to go naked. I mentioned last week that my insurance agent said it would only be $3-$4 per 6 months to put a cell on a personal articles policy, so I'm leaning toward doing that.

Lame service

so it does leave finger prints? :(

Watch the video (posted a few posts back). Summary: It's the difference between regular glass and anti-reflective glass.

The crystal cover is transparent and shiny. It's EXACTLY like having no protective cover, just the glass of the actual screen. The up side: Screen resolution and color are just like they would be without a protector. The down side: Just like regular glass, you can leave fingerprints; there is glare/reflection; and if your skin is slightly moist or warm or whatever you get that little sensation of drag.

The anti-fingerprint one essentially transforms the screen into non-reflective glass. Up side: No glare/reflection, no fingerprints, and no drag when you lovingly swipe your sweaty little fingers over the screen. The down side: slight decrease in colors and resolution.

But isn't the phone programmed to stop accepting a charge if it thinks it's full after it shows that it's full???

I'm not an expert, was just googling and reporting what I found. They said the first couple times to charge beyond what the phone says...

Looks like we have some experts on the forums though - just found this thread:

just an FYI for those interested in coveroo, here's my chat transcript:

Theresa: How may I help you today?
you: Good afternoon Theresa
Theresa: Hello
you: I was just wondering if coveroo plans on making covers for the HTC Incredible?
Theresa: Let me look into this for you. Just a moment please.
you: no problem
Theresa: The model is on our production new release list as a priority. It just depends on if we are able to source the item.
Theresa: Is there anything else I can help you with?
you: ok, so that means it may be available at some point?
Theresa: Yes, we will try to source the phone cover.
you: thank you that is all I wanted to know, you've been very helpful!

sounds cool! how much would you charge / there a site or some way to reach you when i get the extended battery? ill add you as a friend hows that? haha

It would not be very much. The materials needed are cheap, so it is really just the time involved to make the initial master and mold. Once that is done, it's just pouring plastic and waiting for it to dry.

I have been contacted by a couple of people, so I am ordering supplies and I will get started on the standard cover once I get my phone and then I will work on an extended cover for the bigger battery once they come out. Problem is I need an existing cover to mold first to ensure it will fit exactly right. Once I get something I am happy with, I will post it on a new topic and people can contact me if interested. Or, if you want you can email me:
