Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the Moto Droid was that way as well. But that could be do to the slide out keyboard, if you twisted it clockwise the keyboard would rise from the top and be upside down. Not sure on the Eris as I only used one for about half a minute.
And I've only spent about 2 minutes with a Moto Droid, so I didn't see one way or the other if that was the case.

Ugh. My boss just told me I have a meeting from 5-7pm. I was soo excited about going home and playing with my phone after work, now, there is an extra 2 hour delay, and after the meeting I have to go to the gym, until 10. So I probably will not be sleeping tomorrow night. Wonderful.

Boy, I'm (almost) startin' to feel my mouth waterin' for this thing.

Okay now, everyone. We only need 28 more pages each day on Wed. and Thur. to hit 1000 pages by the end of launch day. :)

Did your microsd come in a separate package? I wouldn't think so but the way it's worded that's what it sounded like.

I got my Incredible today (ordered on the 19th). There was a 2GB microSD card in the brown shipping box along with my car charger and the Incredible box.

You guys are going to love this phone:D

EDIT: I did not order the micoSD, It was sent automatically without me asking.

Hey, at least your phone should be charged by the time you're done with all that stuff.... :)

Can you get other live wallpapers?

I believe there are some on the Android Market, but uh, I don't actually have an Android phone yet (apparently my phone is somewhere between Ontario and Phoenix right now). I know there are some tutorials out there for creating your own, but unless you feel like digging into programming them, you might be limited to what's on the Market. Here's some on AppBrain.

So today, I went to my Verizon store to see if I could get some alone time with the dinc. My plan was to act stupid about the phone so I asked "how big if a difference is the incredible and the Eris." (trust me I know the differences lol) so she explained the differences you know blah blah blah, and then I told her that I heard of people buying accessories for it already and she brought out the black and red case, the clear hard one, and the black silicone one out. I studied them and told her that I wish I knew what they looked like in the phone, and out if her pocket comes out the one and only, the Incredible. It was beautiful, I was so happy that I was shaking, considering how long I have been doing information over it. Anyways the internet was super speedy, it went to androidforums instantaneously haha, the camera us amazing, the screen was sexy, copy and paste was amazing, no plastic/ cheap feel to it. I can't wait! Sorry I had to share my story before everybody who pre ordered got their phone and I felt left out :(. I just hope they have some in stock when I go to the store Thursday morning after my exams!

It would be very cool if you could just set a short video file as your wallpaper. :)

URGENT QUESTION:

I am currently pre-ordering my phone, and I have a dilemma.

I have 2 VZW Rebate cards that I want to use, $50 a piece. Where do I put these in at? How do you use these online?
order online and charge phone to your account, then when you get monthly bill use rebate cards to pay bill online, thats what csr told me to do.

So some of you already have your incredible Incredibles. <mumbling from under breath: bastards!!;)>

1. How has battery life been so far?

2. I will be ordering the extended battery and cover on Thursday from the store but now I wonder: will there be silicone or hard cover cases for that since the extended battery will add a few extra mm to it? Will it fit? (Will it blend?:D)

I'd like to buy a case on Thursday but maybe the extended battery won't fit with the bigger battery.

If I do get one and it doesn't fit after all, maybe I can sell it off to one the fine people on Android Forums?

I am in Maui. Both mine and my wife's Incredibles came in today Tuesday. We charged them, set them up, and they work great. I'm ready to root. First impressions- battery draining quickly like my Eris- vibrate is pretty weak like Eris- phone feels great- screen is very bright and crisp- very fast unlike Eris. BTW both phones came with 2gb SD cards.

Ah, well. I finally get my new phone, and what do I do? Stay up until 2:00 a.m. geeking out generating fractal Julia set wallpapers. There's a pretty good app called Fractoid in the Market. Although, it wasn't *that* long ago that regular personal computers had a hard time grinding this stuff out in a reasonable amount of time, so it's really pretty amazing to me to have it happen fairly quickly on a phone (yep, this is in fact my very first smartphone.) I was disappointed to find that there is no notepad application that comes with the Incredible; had to install an app. The screen protector sheets that were available through Verizon as accessories indeed do *not* cover the entire face of the phone, just the visible screen area. I figured they'd get me started, but it's really pathetic IMO that they don't even provide protection for the entire screen, maybe with holes allowing for the joypad dealie, etc.. Battery life not great so far, even with radios turned off. I almost would like a larger display, but the pinch-to-zoom works really well. Oh, yeah, that Fractoid app crashed a couple of times, but the OS seems to have handled it well; it prompted me to close the app and kept on truckin', as one would expect from a UNIX-ish system. I do wish the Sense UI were a bit more configurable, but it's a very fine piece of equipment, overall. I'm hoping to write my own software to support a particular time/project-management workflow, and I hope the bar at the bottom of the screen doesn't get in the way too much. Goodnight, and have an incredible tomorrow.
