***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

I'm sure nobody really cares anymore, but I figured I'd just throw this out there:

4/27 At 4:26PM EST my phone left Memphis, TN
4/27 At 7:09PM EST my phone arrived in Pittsburgh (physically impossible)
4/28 At 8:26AM EST my phone is on a truck for delivery.

In my opinion these phones weren't in Memphis (or Newark or Ontario or wherever) yesterday, they simply did not scan them when they left the major hubs so thousands of people wouldn't call them and say "WTF, MY PHONE IS 20 MIN DOWN THE ROAD, I'M COMING TO GET IT."

I'm sure Verizon wanted the majority of the preorders delivered yesterday, today, or tomorrow (3 days are pretty well necessary for the logistics of the whole operation). All I know is I'm damn excited...but it's going to be another 9 hours until I'm able to go home and play with it.... :(

It is called the JET engine. Our phones took a plane. They were not shipped ground.

Example: Mine went from Memphis to Omaha in about 90 minutes. Only possible by flying.

IMHO: I don't think they will sell a million. With the big push for the Moto Droid (release and then BOGO), I think a lot of people with the interest in an Android phone either made the jump over to Verizon or upgraded before this rock-awsomely sweet phone came out.

I got the Verizon 3 pack of screen protectors, but after the review I saw yesterday I thought I might return them, but if I need one with the case I might just keep them. I have 3 so if they aren't great I can always replace them.

yeah just think how many pissed of people there will be when the incredible is launched officially on commercials and everything

i know i would be mad
 
For anyone that got theirs delivered.

Did you have to be there to get it? Did anyone not get theirs because they weren't home?

Mine should be out for delivery today but I won't be home :(

2. I will be ordering the extended battery and cover on Thursday from the store but now I wonder: will there be silicone or hard cover cases for that since the extended battery will add a few extra mm to it? Will it fit? (Will it blend?:D)

I'd like to buy a case on Thursday but maybe the extended battery won't fit with the bigger battery.

If I do get one and it doesn't fit after all, maybe I can sell it off to one the fine people on Android Forums?

Got mine a little early....yesterday around 11AM. I have been loving everything about the phone..truly is amazing...but the battery life has been terrible..absolutely terrible...And I have no live wallpapers/few open widgets/keep wifi/gps when not needed etc. We're definitely gunna have to do SOMETHING about battery life.
 
On FedEx vehicle for delivery as of 7:15 EST today. My wife stayed home from work today to sign for it. As soon as it arrives I'm leaving work to go play with it.

Indirect Signature Required.*FedEx will obtain a signature in one of three ways:

* From someone at the delivery address; or
*From a neighbor, building manager or other person at a neighboring address; or
*The recipient can sign a FedEx door tag authorizing release of the package without anyone present.

Mine passed me and wound up an hour away in the opposite direction. I was sure they had a hub here...

Anyone else think the forum will go silent for a bit while everyone is playing with their new Inc? I am new to Android and Verizon and I foresee many questions on the horizon.

And yes, maybe my motivation for this post was to get us closer to the 1000, sorry that I don't have anything valuable to contribute. I will later today though when it finally gets here!!

I dont have a tape measure for that...I suppose I could use some string and mark it buuut thats starting to sound like too much for me this morning...maybe a little later when I wake up a bit.
 
Mine is out for delivery today.
Not bad considering I didn't pre-order until Saturday.
FedEx picked it up yesterday at 3:11PM in PA
It arrived at the Dulles facility at 3:25AM
On the truck for delivery at 7:28AM

That's next day delivery by any definition. Free too!

I contacted my local Fed Ex office yesterday and requested that my package be held there for pickup. Just refreshed the tracking page and ... it's there! They open at 8:45AM Central time ... can't wait!

I would suggest contacting your local Fed Ex office and have them hold it for you if you're concerned about not being home.

For those of you that work, you could go on your lunch, pick it up, and charge it in your car while you finish your day!

Delivered at home this morning!! (After sitting in Newark...or somewhere between Newark and Newburgh, NY sort facility...for 24+ hrs.)

Anyway, now to sit through a full day of work before I can get home to it, but at least it's sitting there! :)
