I know all the articles about the Incredible being in the Inventory Screen, but was it confirmed that it was "Verizon's" inventory screen. I remember looking and see the numbers and name and whatnot, but I don't remember seeing it was a Verizon inventory screen. I didn't see Verizon anywhere. I am sure I missed it, and it is probably obvious as hell, but do we have a confirmation that it is Verizon's inventory system?

It was supposedly leaked from a Verizon mole, and the actual model name was ADR6300VW

Ahh sorry everyone...i forgot to add...just my 0.02 cents LOL, everyone is on edge...i'm just basing this off of what I think is the smart thing to do, but idk whats going to happen. And yes, if specs aren't mentioned, Verizon execs can expect death threats LOL JK, not really, more like angry emails
 
Hey all, first post!

I've been reading this forum for the past couple of days, and I have to admit I'm pretty excited for this phone.

Two weeks, a month, two months...I don't care. I'm enjoying following along and seeing all the pieces come together. Keep up the good work all you amateur sleuths!
 
Here is another take it for what it's worth:

I went to a T-Mobile store to ask about the HD2 and the N1, and talked to the manager about getting the N1 on a family plan, he said that later on this month that they would allow the N1 on a family plan to compete with Verizon's release of the N1, and that Verizon would not allow the family plan add-on without paying full price for one of them.

Make sense to me, T-mobile paid for the exclusive 1st phone, and now that other carriers will have it, they need a little extra incentives for people to come to them.

I'm gonna say it's worth nothing (no offense to you). Verizon tells their employees little to nothing up until just before launch. So how much do you think they tell a T-Mobile employee? This guy hasn't a left field clue about Verizon's intentions with plan choice for the Nexus One. None of us do.

BTW, whatever happened to competing on price? Don't they have better plan rates or more features for a given cost? Loosening restrictions to compete is a freakin' joke.

Think about what Google knows, and what the info that they would give to T-Mobile. Chances are that the higher ups at T-Mobile have inside knowledge about Google's plans with the N1 release, and are acting accordingly.

Nothing will be confirmed until Verizon announces the launch which can be as little as a days notice though most likely you'll be looking for the announcement a week or so beforehand. If they do launch phones at CTIA there will be no confirmable notice. Just the way Verizon works.
Most phones that leak their inventory screens launch about a month after. Some have taken longer (Palm Pre and Devour).
 
I just hope that we hear SOMETHING from Verizon by Mar 23rd - otherwise its going to be tough waiting for the Incredible, and not knowing anything - while the N1 is available....

Has anyone heard if the Incredible will fully support Microsoft Exchange like the Droid does? From what I recall the N1 doesn't have Calender (not sure what else).

Maybe so, BUT keep in mind that this is simply a computer-generated response email that kicks in any time you throw out a model number that their system doesn't recognize.

If this is the case then I may just buy the N1 should Verizon offer it through the stores and port the desire ROM to it, as the Incredible ain't looking so incredible to me anymore.

While on the subject of porting another HTC phone's ROM to the N1, e.g. Desire, is this exclusive to GSM devices only (which is the platform the Desire is on) or will it also work on a CDMA platform as well? That would be my primary concern in porting the ROM over to a CDMA version of the N1.

So the N1 doesn't have calendar support? WTF? What would be the difference between the Droid and N1 to cause that? What's the point of having email access to Outlook (through exchange) and not calendar access? There are things each day pushing me back to picking up a Droid (screen, calendar access through Outlook) and others pushing me to WinMo or iPhone (lack of corporate coverage and access to Android is main one) but things seem to be getting better in Android platform.

I really hate having so many options :-)

The difference is in the radios and not the software. But if you can put the Desire ROM on the Droid, then you're good to go!

Google wouldn't make a huge mistake like not including Calendar support. I wouldn't worry about it.

Also, regarding Google's alleged admission to failing on their online-only selling. Google has plenty of cash to burn and the N1 wasn't designed to make money. They just wanted to break even with the hardware but test the marketing of such phone online-only to see the response. They figured, what better way than to lump this marketing test with the release of the successor to the G1. That is what the N1 is anyway, successor to the G1.
