Official Swype on Incredible discussions

Yup, I've had it since last week when it opened again. I'm loving it. It's like crack and I'll pay whatever they want to charge. I'm screwed.
 
Since Shape Writer came off the market and isn't updating any more, this guy is the king of the mountain. I'll be more than happy to pay whatever the devs want.
 
Bummer about ShapeWriter, I have both and keep going back to SW due to the word correction always on the screen and no loop required for double letters. Just seems easier for me.
 
I think it'll still be free, it has been, but anything can change. But glad to say the beta is open and swype is working again, thank you swype gods...
 
Anything new in new beta?, im still like the xda edited version that suites phone. But if something is new, will update to new one, as i am registered to site.
 
"this is not an android device" is the message i get everytime i try to get the new swype dl from their website. Yes i uninstalled swype from my phone/sd card. I have rebooted and tried to have swype resend the email but everytime it has the same message saying my inc isnt an android phone. Help/suggestions please!
 
Sorry, figured it out and enabled mobile view....knew I should have read the entire thread first. So, unfortunately I'm just not a fan and have already uninstalled Swype. Pretty cool though, just not for me. Peace....
 
Thanks for figuring that out gavin.... much appreciated! I DO love swype. Been using shapewriter but sywpe seems much more accurate in regards to getting the right word.
 
Hmmm...after switching to the legal beagle route and signing up to the open beta, I'm having problems. All was well at first but now a week or 2 later it says the version I have isn't compatible with my phone. Uhh, shouldn't the installer have detected the right version in the first place?

What's worse, I went to the website to resend the beta download email after loggin in and when I go back through the install on my phone it fails after entering my credentials. Says the phone ID doesn't match the info I signed up with. WTF?

I'm Swypeless until further notice it appears. Sent them an email and hoping it gets resolved.

Remember seeing something about Shapewriter no longer being available for download earlier this week. Company was bought out by Nuance Communications. Should be easy to find the thread with a search.
 
Has anyone else noticed but since the last swype update, it kind of sucks? In the sense that it is a lot less accurate? On example of this is when I try to type want it shows up with wasn't almost every time. Is there some sort of algorithm to output the more common word?
 
After about a week of using this newer version I want to revert back to the older one. I thought it was just me as well or that I have to change the settings or something but glad to know other people think the same. It is actually really quite frustrating to the point where I have to delete a word and enter it 4 or 5 times before its right and makes it so slowwwwwwwwwwww
 
Well I'm supposed to finally get my new incredible on Monday and I went to the swype website and it says its closed :( I'm so bummed.

Is there anywhere else we can go to get it?
