Official Swype on Incredible discussions

I to just received an email from Swype saying that my request for the Beta was accepted and it gave me instructions on how to download Swype. I did and it works fine. I also spent the whole day with shape writer...I wanted to cry...
 
It depends on the app. Some will have options to access voice to text from the menu (i.e. handcent) , some will have on screen buttons (where, maps etc) other will require swapping keyboards.
 
The only real issue I have is that there's no way to make the keyboard hide once you don't need it anymore. Unless I missed something.

Figured it out myself, at least I did in portrait I did. Doesn't appear to be anyway to do it in landscape though.
 
I got an email today from swype saying my beta was activated. Should I uninstall the one I have from here and get the official one from them or does it make a difference at all?
 
So are there any benefits from using that actual one as apposed to one I just installed from this forum?

I found a swype apk online and installed it, but it said "your trial is over" before I even got to use it. I still see the keyboard, but when I try to use the swpying it doesn't respond to inputs.

I may be inquiring into the beta as well.

And I'm getting a "could not open socket" error on their site... so much for getting an official beta invite....
 
i got an official invite yesterday, but it has said error registering 3 times, so i unistalled everything and closed all the widgets I could like it said to do. Now it is getting stuck on downloading swype.....

nevermind, worked that time....
 
i think they must have added everyone who signed up previously for the beta yesterday, perhaps in anticipation of releasing a full version. i have not seen it released for general download like everyone was saying yesterday, but i guess it's still early? in any case, i am very happy to have been added to the beta; now even if they don't release a full version, i'll get beta updates all regular like. i never want to go without swype for even a day, like i did yesterday until i got my beta invite. didn't realize how much i relied on it until it was gone. ain't it always the way.
 
I got an email for the new swype...just got a few questions

I currently have version 1.56.30.7625, is or should i download the one through SwypeInstaller and all that jazz...the fully legal verision I suppose?

If i get the legal beta that will give them the ability to kill it when they want correct? Whereas with the version i'm running now they don't really know I have it??
