Yea and what did flashing the ov's cwm get ya?? same principle, a boot.img does not make a rom. Yes it may boot, but the majority of shyt isnt gonna work. You got lucky with the og om as its real close to the ov. What I have seen of the om+ its a all new device with only slight better specs, like its cpu is out of a lil bit better fail bin. It will surprise me if it oc's past 1Ghz, if that.

Yea I changed the rims on my car, so I can I say I built a hotrod now??? ;)

Ov's cwm got me a fastboot, its a lot harder to port a recovery than a rom, and I know there's other files besides the boot.img to replace, I have an entire thread of files saying what to replace, I would just like to see if this works the same way it did with the V/S

porting a prebuilt CWM is dumb and unneeded as the src is available to do it correctly.

And yea the method you talk about for the roms will be possible, its dirty porting and with the time it takes to even do that you could config n build CM7 from src. ;)

But hey, to each their own lol.

I wanted to bring ROMs here by porting, not the other way around lol, I finally got MIUI working with your MMS fix. Everything works in functionality...some extra settings menus FC, but other than that it all works fine :D

And BACKside has been working, it's the most up to date ROM we have from CM7 source.

If I can figure out how to port OM+ to the OM, then I can easily get it working the other way around.

But yea, I'll probably need a CM7 built for this phone first to bring it here.

Just got an LG Optimus M+...I have rooted numerous phones and know the basic drills.. but for some unknown reason it just hangs at the "waiting device"..
its in debug mode.. anyone know whats missing?

did you download the latest USB drivers? also, try closing any adb.exe running with task manager and try again. Also, make sure you don't have other phone devices plugged in while you're doing this

i keep getting stuck at waiting for device... i've followed everything on this thread with no luck... any advice?

I'm curious, and not actually needing this (hopefully will not ever need it), but is there a means of unrooting; ie getting rid of busy box, etc.

Ok, well, I had some time this morning before my service calls so I tried to do the root on my phone. I'm not quite sure what happened but during the last reboot phase, I got that there were more than one device attached, as well as another error (unfortunately, I closed out the dos box before I started this post so can't remember what it was). Now, the end result was that my phone didn't get rooted and I lost all sound. I had to do a factory reset and got my sound back. I plan on trying this again, but for now I am reloading all my apps. :)

Ok, I tried it again this evening and got the same results, although this time it got into a boot loop. I did think to get a screen shot of the dos prompt. :D

Notice that it mentions more than one device/emulator. This is the only phone I have plugged in. If anyone has any ideas that'd be great and helpfull.

Maybe you need to disable you virtual modem while doing this?

I'm not sure right off hand what virtual modem you might be talking 'bout. Unless it's one of the drivers installed when I installed the LG driver? I'll look at it when I have some time later. Thanks.

Be sure your phone is in USB Debug mode (Settings > Applications > Development) and be sure the USB is set to Mass Storage as opposed to Internet connection (Settings > Connectivity)

Also, be sure no other instances of adb.exe are running in your Task Manager (I'm assuming you have windows)

I think the mass storage/internet connection is the problem. I've had mine in internet connection mode each time. I will retry this with the connection in mass storage mode next time ('course I'm working both my jobs today and will get home tonight around11:30 just exhausted so it probably won't be today).

Oh, so why should out be in ms instead of internet mode? When in im, my phone displays the debug symbol so that's why I was using internet mode. When I'm in ms mode I don't get the debug symbol.

The virtual modem can be found in your device manager on the PC. Just right click and choose to disable it.

Well I was finally able to try again but this time it goes to:
*daemon not running. starting now*
*daemon started successfully*
then...................... this is flustering..any ideas folks?

Go to Official LG Phone Forum and download the drivers for MetroPCS. Install the drivers and plug your phone in, wait for windows to configure the drivers and start run.bat :)

Before starting, be sure you have the latest LG drivers. One way to do this is to connect the phone before doing any of this and let your computer do the new hardware found stuff. If that doesn't pop up you should be good.

Or go to the LG Website and download the newest driver

Hi everybody. I'm new to these forums and would appreciate some help here.

LG's website seems to have removed driver downloads for the LG Optimus M+ (LG MS695). Where do I go from here? :/

Thanks in advance for any help.

You can also find these drivers in the All Things Root Sticky...... I asked one of the guides to :p

There appears to be a problem with the link. When I click on it, I'm taken to an LG Web page for the original I'm, and nothing about the USB drivers. I searched around and can't find them on lg's site (for the MS695).
