WHEW! Shawn1224 you win!

Runner up (so far) for First "CELL" Phone goes to:

(click pic)

First phone, the Samsung Alias:

Got it in the 6th grade. Great, reliable, durable phone. It even was underwater for 2 minutes when I dropped it in the lake (shallow water) with a muddy bottom and survived. Didn't even have to replace the battery. (I was kinda saddened by the fact it survived because then I couldn't get a new phone... lol)
Still works after 4 years, serving as my backup in case anything happens to this phone, Samsung Fascinate:

I'm a Samsung guy. I've never had a problem with their cellphones. Had the Fascinate for 9-10 months now.

Both are NICE!

Sidekick-3 (wish I could find an mp3 of the orig sidekick3 jingle)

Sidekick LX

Att Tilt 8925

HTC Tilt2
<of all of the above, only the tilts are "resting in pieces" in Cell Phone Simetery>

Today Im A Streaker!

The Sidekick 3 was an excellent phone! I was just about to buy a used one when I went into Tmobile and found the htc Dream/G1 on release day.. couldn't pass up Linux on a phone.

I am sold on android and linux os . Cool! I need to take a snashot of my sidekick3... That was a solid well-built device! Was rather shocked at the "lighter more plastic feeling" sk LX

First cell phone I owned. I still have it. it's an LG Cu400

Secopnd: Samsung Eternity. Loved it. Got stolen and then I found the perp who took it and got it back. Still have it too.

Third phone. Crapberry Pearl. hated the instability, but loved the wifi. I could use my favorite browser AND use Pandora for free. Sold it because it sucked so much.

Now for the Androids! WOOOOOO!

Samsung Captivate. HAD Cyanogenmod. Now runs Fusion IX.

Samsung galaxy S 2 SGH-i777: HAD Cyanogenmod on it. Now runs Serendipity 8.

Now time for the blacksheep:

Uncle's old unlocked Telstra HD2 when he was stationed in Australia for a few years. Found it in a drawer and ended up with it on my birthday. Runs Cyanogenmod.

I still have both of these in a drawer:

LG-LX350_2.jpg

LG350 whatever. Mine is purple, though.

78988_blackberry_curve_8330_cdma_300_225.jpg

And the trusty yet boring BB8330. I do miss the keyboard sometimes.

Now I have my LG Optimus V, and that's all she wrote so far.

Yep, it was on there. I remember buying it when I did a year-long study abroad in Brighton, England in 2000. It was really exciting to have my own phone, even though the Nokia 3310 was the hot phone of the year. :D

Dont you just love looking back! I remember when each "style" was the latest "in" thing! Funny how time passed so fast....and each device serves as a dated timeline up to today!
