Root [Q] HELP! Ripping my hair out! Navigation/GPS woes!

I hope this is the right forum ... I'm losing my mind ... every time I use Google Maps Navigation, my Evo spontaneously reboots after 5-15 minutes.

I'm a pseudo-flashaholic; I've tried literally dozens of ROMs and kernels, both AOSP and Sense. I've done the GPSCLRX thing hundreds of times, as well as resetting AGPS state via GPS toolbox, etc. I've overclocked, underclocked, etc.

I tried that Qualcomm 1.1 GPS driver -- didn't help.

I've updated radio, PRI, NV, etc. Maybe I should downgrade?

Nothing works! Same issue every time.

I even unrooted, flashed Stock, didn't help. Guy at Sprint said it was my battery. Got a new battery. Didn't help.

Any ideas?

there are a coule of other gps fixes in this section of androidforums... have you searched for the one from Mr. Ed? theres a button sequence that you can try as well... just cant recall it off the top of my head... ill hafta take a peek and see what i can find
 
Is there any way to find out which driver I currently have installed ?

Does the driver get installed with a ROM or is it like a radio ?

Does radio have anything to do with GPS?
 
I would not unroot but I think I would put a stock rooted up to date rom on it and I would pester the heck out of Sprint on the phone until they agreed that they had tried everything and that the phone itself has a hardware issue and that it needs to be replaced.
