Questions you would like answered.

Yes..to your grey question. The S3 pictured is in the Pebble Blue which is what I have now, really a cool color. I was soo hoping they would have the Note 2 in Pebble Blue, but the grey looks neat too. You really have to see the Pebble Blue in person to appreciate it, I'm hoping the grey Note 2 is the same way.:D

I actually took a look at the pebble blue, in the sprint store, and I actually like it in the pictures better than in person. Dark blue is my favorite color, but the pebble blue wasn't quite as dark as I was hoping it would be. Nontheless, I still would've preferred that over the titanium grey.

Like I said earlier though, it won't really matter to me (likely getting white), because I'll be getting a custom skin from Unique Skins or Skinit, once I have the phone. That's the closest to a "case" that I'll ever get...hahaha.

Totally agree drex if your putting on a case / cover does the color really matter....not really. But to us naked folks ( no case ) the color is something we have to be able to live w/. I really like the pics of the grey on Samsung.com of the Note 2 as it doesn't look as dark as it does in the pic I provided above.

As long as it's out before Xmas I'm happy. :santaclaus: Ho Ho Ho !!!
Who you calling Ho? :D

That they don't mention the Note 2.
maybe they don't need to mention it on the supplied roadmap since its official knowledge already. Speaking of which, how come the article doesn't actually show the roadmap?

Ts, why those particular dates?
Well, let me break it down by what I see inbetween the lines...

Why I chose Oct 21st as the other date...
1-Most online media outlets are repeating the mid November deployment but that is for the last carrier to sell it. So naturally that would mean one or a few carriers will sell the Note 2 way before the mid November time-frame that Samsung states.
2-I believe one of the carriers (can't remember if its T-Mobile, US Cellular or AT&T) will be deploying the Note 2 on Oct 21.
3-Samsung has mentioned that they would like for most if not all carriers to deploy on the same date. So if Oct 21 would be logical since one other carrier has set that date already.

If Samsung cannot get all the 5 carriers to deploy on the same date then this brings me to the second date I picked...

Why I chose Nov 11th....
4-Samsung says all carriers will get the Note 2 by mid November.
5-Sprint has recently made it a habit to deploy new devices on a Sunday.
6-The most mid Sunday of November is the 11th. (btw, the oct 21 date is also a Sunday)

Thats' my story and I'm sticking to it. :D

With the gs3 wasn't there a couple carriers within a few days of each other? Let's hope for October. Wife just got a gs3 and I have a iphone4 someone tell me what's wrong with this picture

To be honest with you all, the date doesn't really concern me, whether it comes Oct or Nov. What I am really concerned about is whether Sprint will offer the 32 and 64 GB versions. I would hate to get the 16GB on day one and find out that a month after the 32 or 64GB version would be offered.

Hopefully Mr Ed. can find out for us in next weeks...

LOL...I prefer "naked" also. I'm surprised a lot of people don't try out what I'm referring to more often. Check it out:

Cell Phone Skins | Laptop Skins | iPod Skins | Custom Skins - Unique Skins

Not a case or cover. Doesn't really add thickness to the phone at all, since it's basically a stick on protector (kinda like the thickness of a screen protector, except for the rest of the phone).

Ditto, TS! Only reason I'd hold out on a pre-order is if the higher memory versions were going to be released later.

Deucy ( 2 spirits...get it ? :p ) something tells me that you & I are going to get along here real well. :D

In responding to your comment / question on who...well I was going to buy the Note 2 for E Mon for Xmas but it looks like all bets are off if that roadmap article is correct. ;)

Good call, bro. Didn't even think about that.

Completely forgot that the 10/21 date was being reported...and that was ATT that was being linked to the date, since they were the "original" carrier of the 1st edition. US Cellular's "pre-order" page stated that the phone would ship late October. And I agree with the logical deduction that Samsung would want deployment of the phone to be similar with how the SGS 3 was sold.

TS - I'm also in complete agreement on the 11/11 justification as well (w/ possible early release for pre-orders, as they've done with other superphones).

Ultimately, I think it all depends on whether the Eclipse gets released first or the Note 2. The Eclipse was already leaked passing through the FCC 1 1/2 months ago, but there's no evidence that the Note 2 passed through the FCC (but still could secretly have passed through and possibly earlier than the Eclipse leaks).

I guess, by logical deduction, we can all agree that we'll be seeing the Eclipse and Note 2 in October/November respectively. Which of the 2 is released first is the big question right now. At this point, I'd say the Note 2 is more likely, just because of Sprint's "official" press release about the phone for "Fall." That said, they may have done that to keep people waiting on the "official" release date, even if they release the LG first. I'm sure they have more faith in the sales that the Note 2 will make vs. the Eclipse (smart business decision). I guess we'll see fairly soon.

Just wish I had Doc Brown and Marty to swoop me up in the delorean and take me into the future, so that I can finally use my last upgrade!

Strange, I did not see that video before.

A few things I just noticed (which I haven't previously)..

1-That battery is huge. its half the size of the phone. lol
2-Compared to the original, Jon is correct, the original does looks like a prototype experiment.
3-Side by side of the S Pen, I see the pen is bigger.
4-The Note anywhere and Web anywhere features are cool.
5-Being able to use hover menus on websites with the S pen.

TS - The hover function, especially on websites, multi tasking (video play while messaging), and s-pen bluetooth are functions that are really selling me on getting this phone.

The 3100mah battery is awesome, especially because of seeing my co-worker use her razor maxx all day without worrying about battery conservation.

I like what lg did with multi-tasking also, which is why I'm still curious about the optimus g.

We'll see which one comes out first in October.
