Questions you would like answered.

A big jump for you too; even bigger!

And yes, they are fortunate. I think it goes with having techgeek parents.

indeed :D i didn't feel like getting a smartphone before because i couldn't justify the purchase, plus there wasn't any model that really caught my attention. I'm practically obsessed with the Note 2, which my sister rightfully knows. We share a room so she knows I've watched all of the youtube reviews :D

And back to the thread topic, one more question I hope will get answered soon. Where is the 32 gig?? I honestly don't know if I'll get the 16 or not, because I know I won't root for a while and what's the point of having a super phone if you can't app it up?

So I just installed CM10 (4.1.2) on my Note 10.1 and the SPen still works. You just lose the touchwiz-specific features of it. So, for those that like stock experience but also want to use the stylus, you're in luck ;)

Ok, so I am at a popular mall in LA and they built this Samsung booth promoting all the samsung android products including this

The reviews understate the size difference with the first note. It's easily more comfortable to hold. If you look at the pic I took, compared to the earlier one I took with the Note 1, I can almost touch my fingers with the note 2. Wasn't even close on the note 1. I'm not getting my hopes up, since the kids working the booth weren't that knowledgeable, but they seemed to think the US would offer 16, 32, and 64...but I personally think they weren't given information for the US.

So, that's a quick preview, but not the best part. There are several stations and each station gives u a slip that's an entry into a possible chance to win a s3. Sad thing is, I knew more than most of the kids hired to work the booth, including the tech guy, and I didn't win a s3. Consolation prize?

I'll take it! If you can't tell what it is, it's a sgs3 t-shirt with samsung slogan on back and a pamphlet promoting the note 2 and samsung's upgrade program. Samsungupgrade.com

Oh wow, you got to hold it? Are you in more lust than you were before? Out with it... you're not going to sleep at all for the next week, are you? hehe

Thanks for the picture, even though I'm jealous! :p

Speaking of sleep, I had a dream that I attended a Samsung launch party for the Note 2.

Am I obsessed or what? LOL

Well, it was kinda disturbing that the Samsung promotional team mentioned the higher memory versions, cuz now I'm not sure if I should wait until Sprint announces the higher memory versions. I'll be a little upset if Sprint does another exclusive for the higher memory versions. I had resigned myself to accepting the 16, but I dunno now.

Yeah, that's my deal.. maybe Mr. Ed will have more info soon. Hopefully really soon!

The other thing to wonder is IF Sprint does carry the 32GB will it be another web only exclusive? IF that were to be the case with no pre orders in sight that would mean no in store purchase on the 25th. :(

We definitely need to know this before next Thurs.

Have you ever held a galaxy player 5.0? If so how would you say the note II compares to it in feel in hand?

Nope. They didn't even have that at the booth. Just a lot of white note 2's, blue gs3, white camera and tablets.

Best I can compare is the original note i held at best buy. Felt WAY better than that... And that's definitely no exaggeration. I felt a similar sense of relief that I had after feeling the Evo in person.

After seeing that 3 way multitasking I can't wait to do navigation in one part and PowerAmp playing music on the other half. I doubt I'll do a video along with it, but still. So badass.

The 3-way multi-tasking was so unexpected because none of the official videos, from blogs, showed that. At first, when I saw the video posted, I thought it was gonna be b.s.

Keep in mind that the 3 way mullti-task only works cuz of the pop up video player though, so you'd have to be watching a video for it to work.

Yeah I don't watch much video outside of YouTube so I'm not too pressed about that. Still cool that you can do that.

Yeah, I'm hoping all is clarified on the 24th. If they say all the providers are gonna have the higher memory versions later in the year, I am waiting until they're released. If they aren't released before the middle of December, that will be my cutoff date and will just go with the 16gb.

If nothing definitive is mentioned on the 24th, I'm just gonna get the 16 on Thursday. To a certain extent, I guess it's good there's no best buy pre-order

Can you elaborate a little on what functions get lost?

Well, not only have I ever held one, I owned one. I cannot compare it to the Note 2 but I can say it's completely comfortable to hold and use one handed. Also, it's thicker than Note 1 and 2.
