Questions you would like answered.

After seeing that 3 way multitasking I can't wait to do navigation in one part and PowerAmp playing music on the other half. I doubt I'll do a video along with it, but still. So badass.

I just realized you mentioned power amp and navigation, but has there been confirmation that you can place any app on the multitasking tab? There was a review saying it was restricted.

Can you elaborate a little on what functions get lost?

S Note
Pen Leaving Detection
Pull out pen and homescreen switches to note screen
Hover in photos, videos + no hover-scrubbing
Samsung's handwriting keyboard
Pen + button actions
quick commands

Probably more... don't know. But hovering works in the browser, and the S Pen works perfectly as it would.

i think there has been a mod.. that lets the owner put almost any app into the multi window.. of course some apps may experience bugs/force closes.

There are about 3 xda threads that show the devs working on getting more apps working in multi-view mode and there is even a minor mod that allows you to add apps you want. Paul from Modaco also provided a guide for developers to add support for multi-view mod and the site also provides the necessary instructions to edit the framework APKs to enable apps.

Ok, maybe I'll talk to my IT guy and I'll join the root world... Lol

Well, not only have I ever held one, I owned one. I cannot compare it to the Note 2 but I can say it's completely comfortable to hold and use one handed. Also, it's thicker than Note 1 and 2.

Yeah I had a galaxy player for a little while, and I actually really liked its size (even with a case). That's why I was asking because if the note II is the same or better, then I will have no qualms with my new baby ^_^

From what I read it doesn't just work with any app, so hopefully somebody posts a video using Poweramp, Google Music, Spotify etc with it so we can see.

From what I've read rooting doesn't delete any...mumble jumble... it just allows you to access what you normally wouldn't be able to.

they'll still evaluate it first, and they have a list of phones they're accepting for trade-in. here's the promo pictures:

i hope they're not too big. how can i resize them?

This promotion is only good in the Philippines. Mall of Asia is in the Philippines. :(

The question is, how will they know. It's your phone so can't one root the device after they do their IT mumble jumble.

TS

It's not the IT department I'm worried about really, it's more-so opening up any vulnerabilities. Not that rooting would, necessarily, but I do wanna take the proper precautions.

I don't know if this is any indicator for what will be offered here, but take a look at the Expansys home accessory page:
Accessory Finder - Expansys USA

When going to select a device for accessories, it shows the 32gb memory version available to select. Wouldn't make a difference as far as accessories are concerned, but we'll see in a couple days.

 Two posts after wyndslash posted those promo pictures, she already stated that:
oh no, it's a promo by Samsung in the Philippines (where I'm from). I doubt the USA will have a promo like that. We have more people here who can't afford stuff like that so the companies have lots of giveaways, discounts and freebies.

On another note (no pun intended :D), I really wish there were some news about the 64GB... or even the 32GB. I don't know how much longer I can wait. I'm a Korean-American, so I could ask a relative in Korea to get me a 64GB, but (1) Korean models would have the DMB antenna, which is useless in the US, and (2) if I were to get an Otterbox case, when it's available (my preferred brand), I doubt that the Korean model would fit.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought I heard the note 2 only accepts up to a 32GB micro SD card. Will it take a 64GB card? Either way im pretty sure 48 GB will be plenty for me. Thanks.

It's been mentioned before, but phones as old as the original motorola droid have been proven to work fine. My photon is only supposed to work with a 32, but the 64 i have is working perfectly.
The only recommendation given for phones that were only set for 32 was to format in the phone.

That said, more recent info has stated the note 2 can accept up to a 64

Too bad its a one day deal.

Tis sad, but amazon has done sandisk storage deals within the last few months. I picked up a Sandisk SSD about 2 months ago on a similar sale. Maybe they will have another one in the next month or two again.
