Samsung Mobile is offering a trade-in discount this weekend. Up to 50% off on old smartphones (they're going to evaluate first). Wonder if dad wants to replace his iPhone lol...

Case and point for Tier 1 / Floor reps not really doing any research on information that is released by corporate, I called a local Sprint store tonight to see what accessories they'll be offering at launch next week. They said that they really don't know what accessories they'll have until a couple days before. Told them thanks and was getting ready to hang up when the rep says, "So, some people were saying the 24th was the release date, some saying the 28th. What did you hear?"

What did I hear? I hear the fact that the corporate office is not communicating enough with their floor reps, when a formal press release is sent out. I also hear/see that floor reps really don't do that much side research on their own products or any upcoming products...LOL. To not know that a formal press release was sent out stating the exact price and date of release is not good. That leads me to believe that whoever the person called on the Sprint Forums, didn't actually look at the formal press release and was just guessing based on other information.

and does not look like this is a USA promotion.
and only good for this weekend.. release in USA, is not till next weekend!

oh no, it's a promo by Samsung in the Philippines (where I'm from). I doubt the USA will have a promo like that. We have more people here who can't afford stuff like that so the companies have lots of giveaways, discounts and freebies.

well, it seems that Asia gets the goodies. Just had a chat with my sister (she lives and works in Singapore), and it seems that if you register and queue there, you get freebies for waiting (stuff like charger, case, etc) :D

Ok now we are getting carried away here. I can see two but three or more. The Note is big but not that big to see three or more multi apps at once. lol Now have that capability on the Note 10.1 with so much screen space then hell yeah.

I was cleaning the other day and found my Hero, my HTC Touch and Touch Pro, and several others. Kinda funny.

And can you believe they are still selling Heros???
Crazy! My son's girlfriend still had a Hero up until 3 months ago and her parents weren't planning on getting her anything new because they're college-broke. But c'mon, it was 4 years old.. lol One day she came over and told me "Yes, I still have this piece of crap, don't ask me!" Haha I promptly took her to get a new phone - she picked the GS3. I didn't want her halfway across the country with a phone that was going to tank any day. Imagine going from the Hero to the GS3. Lolol she was sooooooo thrilled!

I did the same for my daughter. She came here last year from Cali using a Hero. I damn near fainted. I gave her my Photon. My son's Hero I replaced with the iPhone 4S.
