Samsung Galaxy Note II Challenge: Day 16 - YouTube

I like how Phonedog is approaching the review of the Note 2. Apparently, after a couple weeks with the phone, the size became an issue for Aaron...not sure it would for me and he didn't describe what kind of jeans he uses, so that didn't give me a good idea of how uncomfortable it really would be.

Did anyone notice at 2:38 he's using the S-Pen to erase?

Anyway as far as size, I carried the 5" Galaxy Player in my pocket with ease which I might add was much thicker than the Note 2. If I didn't have that it was my 7" tablet which also fit in my pocket effortlessly. So it still boggles my mind how so many people have said they easily carrier a 7" tablet in their pockets but cry real tears about a phone smaller in size.

I was just gonna say that! I gotta get my hands on this phone!!!!!

Did it not always have that function? I thought the S-Pen could always erase, but it just didn't have a separate tip on the other side to use for erasing. Obviously, I never had the original Note, so I have nothing to compare from except others experiences.

I don't know. Never had a Note. I thought all these different eraser threads had to do with the S-Pen being able to erase. If all people want is a pen with an eraser what's wrong with the way it currently erases?

On that Note I need to cook something before I starve to death.

And I don't know either it was just cool to see and out of all the videos I've never seen anyone do it. :D

Alrighty, started another thread to discuss 3rd party retailers selling on Release Day.

http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...ability-sprint-note-2-10-25-release-date.html

Start making some calls, people! I'm just trying to figure out how to get to Best Buy, upgrade, and not miss any work...LOL...First come, first serve never sounds pleasant to me...unless they plan on having crazy stock.
Crack kills and up til the moment you get the Note 2 in your hand, someone is going to have to watch over you cause you've gone buck wild with the new threads. I think we now have a thread about EVERYTHING related to this phone.....I bet you have dreams about this phone.

Somebody take this mans keyboard! :D

YES it was cool to see although you gotta admit, having that BT pen will be the icing on the cake. :D

I can officially say I am addicted to this phone., much like I was about the original Evo, and last year with the Photon.

What's funny is, part of my hesitation with the Evo is the same hesitation I was having with the Note 2....size. But after seeing all the reviews and continuing to check the original note, I am at peace with that trepidation.

I remember how you were with the Evo and Photon....I was right there drooling like you did.
Although I didn't have any hesitation regarding the Evo. I knew I was going to get it but I hadn't pre-ordered so 1st day availability wasn't looking like it was going to go my way....everybody and their mama was (allegedly) sold out.

After I called every store in PA, NJ, MD & NY with no luck I decided to go to Best Buy to buy something I didn't need. When I walked out of BB a huge SUV with bright yellow *Sprint* on the side pulls into the parking lot. We got to talking & I told her how mad I was that I couldn't get the Evo that day. She made a phone call & 20 min later I had my Evo activated. She actually called one of the stores I had called earlier. They told me they were sold out; she said she just left there and they weren't......yay for me.

I even showed her my phone proving I had call this particular store earlier. Whoever she was she had enough pull to make my purchase happen.

If Sprint is not doing pre-orders for the Note 2 I will be there when they open. I just have to find out if they're going to do an early morning opening. There's 2 stores I go to. One always opens at 7am the other 10am...8 if they do early.

Yeah, i forgot to ask about early opening. They did that for the evo.

Holy flashback Batman.

yeah the EVO 4G and the Photon threads leading up to their deployments were fun. Much like this one. It's what makes this place awesome. You form bonds with folks you never meet and end up like family. At times agreeing, at times disagreeing but all bounded by the AF Blood of wanting to further our knowledge of Android and the thirst of getting the very best device for our needs.

It's partially your fault, convincing me initially that
the size won't be an issue... Lol
:p

Yeah, i forgot to ask about early opening. They did that for the evo.
hmmm That reminds me. I need to plan my upcoming <cough> sickness that will prevent <ack> me from coming into work that day and be at the store early to get the <achoo> phone.

A coworker has a Note and can use the pen to erase. The reviewer taps the erase icon in the toolbar to switch the functions, then taps the pen icon again to switch back.

See this. I'm hoping its not true, but if it is, it will fall in line to the date I've said all along. Nov 11th.

I say that the person they talked to didn't know what they were talking about, for 2 reasons:

Optimus G releases on 11/11 also?
Official: LG Optimus G Coming To Sprint November 11th For $200 – Pre-Orders Begin Nov. 1st

The official Sprint press release clearly states something that means it will be releasing prior to the Optimus G:
Manufactured by Samsung Telecommunications America, LLC (Samsung Mobile), the No.1 mobile phone provider in the United States, Galaxy Note II will boast several firsts for Sprint
