Questions you would like answered.

lots of cases use magnetic clasps as a closure. they have the magnet embedded inside the leather, and it supposedly affects the display of the Note 2.
has there been any reviews/testimonials of people's "displays being affected?" Any specific descriptions? Are you saying you want a flip case with no magnet or a regular case. I'm just looking into a possible back cover, and those I doubt would need a magnet.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, I haven't read this entire thread, but someone at Sprint told me the flip case is coming in packs of 2. She said there will be more color choices too.

Yeah, I need to get a case/holster combo too as well as a good car dock... Hopefully they will supply a car dock similar to the original note.

iBolt is working on one. I suggest going into either the xda thread or fhe thread here, regarding the car dock, to voice your opinion.

Alright guys, I got some good news!
I was just at a Sprint store in Cerritos, CA to get my evo design repaired. I met with a really nice consultant named Darleyne. I asked her if they had the galaxy note 2 in, and she said yeah but it's in the back and she wasn't sure if she could show it to me early. While talking to her about the note 2, I asked if they'll have any accessories available for it when it releases tomorrow, and she said yes certainly! She showed me the accessories wall and showed me the body glove brand cases they had while another employee was steadily putting up more cases for it!

I held the case in my hand, and let me tell you, that sucker is going to be HUGE! like seriously, I've handled the epic 4g, 4g touch, gs 3, and the T-Mobile g note, and the note 2 takes the cake! It's so big it can literally be used as a weapon! Put it in your shirt, and it'll take a bullet for you. Saw your ex? Put the note 2 up to your face and it'll block their view. Can the iPhone 5 do that? NO!

I wasn't able to handle the actual phone, the body glove case was such a slim profile that it gives the general idea of the size. YouTube videos do not do the GN2 justice in terms of size. I can't wait for the holidays, because that's going to be a gift for myself :D I wish I thought to take pics of the case, but I was to mesmerized by the gn2's size, sorry guys. Plus I eventually had to deal with asurrion in the store about get a replacement phone shipped. I'll be at the Sprint store tomorrow when I have my replacement in hand and I'll take pics of the gn2 while I'm up there :)

If you held the case, then I don't think it really gave you an accurate feeling behind the phone. They have a booth at the Beverly Center, if you really wanted to check the phone out. And a ton of Note 2's on display for trying out. I got a free shirt out of it, but they were also doing some sort of raffle for a chance to win a GS3. Just go back a few pages and you'll see my post, in this thread (with a pic of me holding the phone).

It isn't actually "HUGE" it just seems huge in comparison to pre-GS3 phones. It is 5 and 7/8 inches long by 3 and 1/8 inches wide.
I've had mine just over a week now and it doesn't seem all that big now.
In comparison to any iPhone though it looks huge! I recon this time next year may phone manufacturers will have followed suit, size wise.

Oh yeah I seen your post (lucky fella :D), but the case that I was able to hold was very slim. The consultant that helped me said that it was approximate size of the phone and from experience with handling the actual gn2, that specific case was very close to the actual size of the phone. I'm not a tiny guy, 6'4 in size and with relatively big hands, but that thing looked huge! (Giggity) I think I'm might be just so used to dealing with these tiny 4 inch phones (nexus s and eco design) that's making me over amazed. But then again, the GN2 IS amazing :)

6'4?...The Note 2 will be NO problem for you. I'm just glad I've never liked using cases because then it'd be too big for my tastes..LOL.

Oh definitely! I think the size is PERFECT, I can't stand these 4 inch phones. I was just amazed of the size compared to videos I seen, everyone's hands make the phone look alot smaller than it really is, in my opinion at least. :)

What's crazy is, my hands being on the small-medium end, I thought it'd be humongous! But after holding it and playing around with it, one handed, I was set! Couldn't believe it, considering how much bigger the Note 1 felt. I seriously feel like it's day and night and that's probably because of my hand size compared to many of the people doing the reviews who seem to have extra long fingers!...LOL.
