Questions you would like answered.

here you go. See the extra gold pins on the side. Also there is that strange round looking thingy. I wonder what that is.

This youtube video showing the Note 2 being broken down also shows the pins.

Probably aftermarket accessories will give you wireless charging. I would bet money that no carrier with have wireless charging out of the box.

So you can't unlock the phone?

So I've had the Sprint version since Friday. So much to like but I do have some concerns:

1) Does this phone have Jelly Bean out of the box?
2) Why was multiview and screen recording omitted from the USA version and will they be included with an update.
3) Why doesn't Google Wallet work on my device? I thought Sprint allowed that service?

Thanks guys.

1. Setting = About = Version # 4.1.1 ~~ does yours show that? If so, it's Jelly Bean
2. I don't know and hope so.
3. Good question. Mine doesn't even have GW on it.

Scandalex answered #1 correctly.

as for # 2 and 3, Yes to both. And #3 will also get it via an update.

Now when these updates will come is anyones guess at the current time.

I asked earlier:
I would like to know if the 64GB version will be released at the same time as the others, or if it will be delayed (like it is for the Galaxy S III). I had been waiting for the Galaxy S III, 64GB version, for some time, but then I researched the Galaxy Note II and decided that this would be the phone to get. So I wait some more. :(
Well, we know the answer to this one. It's frustrating to have to continue to wait. Mr. Ed, or anyone else, still no word about the 64gb international version? Or even the 32gb?

My parents are currently visiting Korea (I was born in the US, my parents emigrated from Korea), and I'm seriously considering asking them to get the 64gb for me, knowing full well that the LTE won't work in the US. (I use Straight Talk, so I can't use LTE anyway, I think). I'll have to decide quick, because of the report that Samsung is already going to stop production of the 64gb in Korea. I mentioned this in another post on this forum (http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-note-2/622717-64gb-version-2.html#post5115460).

have you considered the resale value of this? The LTE radio would be more valuable when you are trying to sell this phone in 1-2 yrs from now.

64GB SD cards will be even cheaper in 2 yrs. swapping out cards is a lot easier than slow data.

no.. parachute pants coming back...

I think a NOTE Mini with S-Pen will be the next setup... something in the 4.5 to 4.8 range.

I thought I saw in one of the reviews that those pins had something to do with NFC and part of the NFC being in the back case.

I also remember this. I don't believe you need metal pins for wireless charging...at least on the cell phones I have seen them on. Just like when you charge an HP Touchpad on the Touchstone. It just sets on there and there is something internal that charges the unit by simply resting on the charging unit.

The Palm Pre had the same two pins. They connected to the back cover that had the inductive charging coil in it.

I've only seen those pins being associated with NFC in reviews, etc. Where do any spec sheets show the Note 2 having wireless charging? I may have missed it.
