Random Thought Thread

I know I've been scarce for a couple of weeks, but I was completely off-grid for awhile. My first ship in the Navy had a reunion in New Orleans for three days... then we boarded Carnival Valor for a 5-day "back to sea" cruise! At the risk of pissing off the Darling Bride (who was a Navy Culinary Specialist First Class), the food on this ship was much better; there were... adult beverages, and it was much a smoother ride than my last cruise, which was on a haze gray Navy ship with weapons all over it. Unlike Navy ships that rock side to side, rocking us to sleep, this ship had 6 swiveling engine pods and stabilizers. It was more of a "cruise ship shuffle" that felt like a minor tremor than anything. It was a great experience and our travel to Cozumel and Progreso, Mexico, was a great reminder that America is a fantastic country to come home to. I think people who say they hate America have simply never been anywhere else.
 
Mom and I watched, Eat,Pray.Love for the second time, it was pretty amazing,
It really made sense watching it again with her, its been like far too long since I have seen it too,
but I vaguely remember what was the movie and we just sat down and watch it today,
I thought the gym was open for swimming,got my mother's car out of the garage, she has one that is already paid off, and really we just had a nice time together,
there was hardly anyone on the road it was enjoyable weather, just rainning, but the sun is getting out the door.
 
I love when you see people that you knew back from your childhood and they act like they are "all that" or just really stuffy because they have a job title now. Calm your tits bro, you're just a Pediatrician, you aren't curing cancer. Now go back to work and write some runnny nose meds and some Adderall. Jesus....

I can honestly say I don't really remember anyone from my childhood. I bounced between relatives from the time I was born and until about the age of nine when I went into the foster care system. I didn't make friends, it was easier when it came time to relocate

I grew up in a very small community that was mostly Air Force base personnel. Though most kids had families, they remained mostly distant for the ease of frequent migration. As I got older I marveled at the here today and gone tomorrow children for they seemed so outgoing and knowledgeable about other places and people. Though I never had the desire to live such a transient existence, those kids were far rounded individuals and had the ability to fit into any group or situation with ease. There is good and bad to all upbringings.
 
I may have artistic eyes for snapshotting the same road as I live, throughout time itself, but it takes my eyes so much adjusting left alone when clicking through each of the trees, rails, even some mile signs.
 
Why is ice cream so microwaveable ?
