They got the systems partially working around 9 and fully working around midnight. I just went through my emails (that, you know, I wasn't getting) and giggled at their competence. It was a system wide failure, every service (including email) was down...nothing, not one thing was working so the swat team/help desk was sending emails to keep us updated. Umm. OK. Good plan. The funny part is is that a few months ago they made us all provide cell phone numbers for texts or alternate emails (and tested it) to be sure they could keep us up to date on major work issues/emergency announcements if they had to. Umm. OK. They never used that, just the corporate email that was down. Umm. OK.
