Williston, ND is like the wild west. A motel room costs $250 a night. That is if you are lucky enough to get one. Otherwise it's a 90 mile drive to Minot or 70 miles to Culbertson, MT. Even then there was no guarantee.
There's too many people if anything.
Walmart has to pay $20 an hour.
A whopper meal costs $11.00.

Sounds a lot like CA come to think of it. :D

Besides what's wrong with living "where you can see em you can shoot em"?

Put a sign up in a vacant lot or area of over one acre saying "radiation danger"

Underneath - if you walk around this area naked on a sunny day, you will get a sunburn.

Forfar 4 East Fife 5

The play by play from "Tonight's game, between the East Westchester.........":D

All seriousness aside:p
I'll never forget being on a flight out of SFO about 15 years ago; I used to love listening to air traffic control chattering to my plane and the others in the area.

We were on (something like) Delta 1660, and there were two others in the region....6160, and 6016.........I'm listening to the scrambled up chatter go back and forth, and all I could think was..."Wait, wait wait!!!!! (time out)......That's not what he said.....And why would you send 6061 to a new heading of one sixty, descending to 16,000 in order to avoid 1616........? There is no such aircraft in the area!

Waitress, please bring me a drink, while I tighten this safety belt a bit more, and reconsider sniffing glue for a living.

Somehow, it all worked out......(It almost always does).:)

I get some people really love bob but just seems wrong that someone who sounds like an injured cat wins the Nobel prize.
I've been a huge fan of Bob's since the sixties. I'll not argue your assessment of his quality of voice.
It's always been his lyrics.. always... even back in the day when you could understand the man. My question is why an award now? Why after all of these years? Has he written something recently that I've missed out on? I'm confused.

RE: Bob
AAAhrrrrrrghhhhh!!!!!!!
Where to even start?
A man naked on stage, with a guitar in his hands, and a harmonica clenched in his teeth............
The lyrics are the sort of thing that may not be fully appreciated for a dozen generations to come; And we are all fortunate enough to be bearing witness to the unusual event of a true genius actually being appreciated in his own time. Get on board, say you were there when the Nobel prize was delivered, and you understood why.
The many occasions when his voice was as ****ed up as can possibly be, do make for the best memories; They are the thing of cheap punchlines.......But they are vastly outweighed by the occasions when that voice was crystal clear.......or at worst, very damaged, but still used to spectacular effect, in spite of the handicap.

An enormous body of work that future generations of religious scholars may spend entire lifetimes studying, and still never fully unpack; Anyone who goes for the cheap laugh, hasn't seen the first 1% of the treasure which has been laid out before them, free of charge.

And I say that as someone who has spent 40 years studying it thoroughly enough to be comfortable saying......
I only understand the first 2% of it; And that's definitely enough to call it true genius.

Seriously, if you are not sold already, look again; You are missing out on something very, very important, hanging right in front of you.

"And if my thought dreams could be seen.....They'd probably put my head in a guillotine; But it's alright, Ma........................... It's life, and life only."

In a way it seems obvious doesn't it? Looking back at the previous winners, I recognise hardly anyone on the list. But then, I'm not really a high-brow reader, so much of this work will have passed me by.

I think from my posts (the vast majority) I have proven to be a mostly positive person with a good outlook. That said.

Have you ever had a day that you just want to pack it in and go home and hide in a closet, like by 10AM?

I mean there have been some events today that are less than stellar, nothing major mind you, not a BAD DAY per say, but overall I just have that "for the love of ...." kinda attitude today and just want to leave work and maybe go to a museum or something where I can quietly appreciate the works of mankind and remind myself that humans DO have redeeming qualities, worth in a grander sense and reason to continue to procreate and exist.
Ever been there?

Sounds like someone has a bad case of the f***-its.
