Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

That one person at work that always has something to add in a conversation when the higher ups in your company are present just to make sure they are heard. Speak if what you have to say adds "value" to the given topic, but just saying meaningless stuff to be heard does more harm than good for your reputation.

When my husband tells me the same story over and over like I didn't listen the first five times. Oh ya and one more thing you know when you help someone ? A thanks , a screw off , or some sort of response would be nice. :(:mad::banghead:
 
When I play a game on Xbox and right when I do something an here the notification noise and I think it's an achievement, it turns out to be a friend getting online! :p

Does yours pontificate, too? The Vulcan does.

Example:

I've been after him since he got a computer. I read security columns and was after him about safety. In one ear and out the other. Then he read an article, and he's the security expert. He preached at all of us for days. For an engineer, he's dense.
 
Getting towed because the city put up no parking signs less than 24hrs ago so they could sweep the leaves from the street, which had re-accumlated by the time I got back from the impound. Thanks. I was inside for almost a whole day taking care of my newborn, and didn't see the signs. This is what I get. Thanks.
 
Grinding my gears:

Web forums have come into the lands of hate instead of honest and compelling discusions.

If I read an article on Yahoo or wherever then I goto the comments 90% are all about hating differing points of view.

Liberals hate on Conservatives,
Conservatives hate on Liberals,
Sports fans hate on other teams/fans,
Android/Apple/Microsoft ... etc,
Hollywood fans hate on certain movies/stars/TV shows.

Comment boards and forums should be a great way to have discussions with people I would never meet IRL, but instead of insight I find extreme negativity.
 
(Off Topic) I agree with as I usually find the same thing when I explore. Why can't they simply discuss something without all this drama is beyond me.
We discuss mature debates here and not childish ones. :thumb:
(On Topic) Lag in video games. I know I'm talking about games again, but I hate it when it starts lagging and the other guy beats me or it goes into host migration in some and takes forever just to jump to a new host. Then when it does it lags again. :p
 
Headaches. Not sure why the body doesn't release some sort of chemical to combat that right away. Hell, I'm not even sure why they exist in the first place...?

Another gripe - election signs. To all running for anything:

Make sure you have either budgeted for, or have volunteers to:

PICK THE SIGNS UP after the election. You put them there - you take them down or pick them up.

We had one (wooden board) on I-25 for almost 4 years. It was for an amendment in 2008!
 
Tried to get hubby's attention for three days ,impossible him and all his development buddies ! So today I ignore him and what do u think he wants ? :) booo
 
right now, it's sammy's US website. trying to take advantage of the 50% off off accessories but it won't let me buy anything :(
