Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

ive been a member here for all of 2 minutes..i did the right thing and posted in the intros.....however...it clearly states that the intro thread is for that and not questions...yet the first few threads i see are questions for help.....sheesh!

also i dislike people who take little steps when they walk...i hate little steppers!
 
I've seen those with normal strides block sidewalks. They don't think they have to move over to window shop, gawk at an accident, stand and talk. "Oh my phone rang" and they stop dead in front of you to answer it.

It's called consideration - Seanette has it.

the really bad ones move in groups. they fan out to block the stairs, sidewalk, etc, and they talk and walk slowly too. very annoying especially since it's harder to overtake.

To clear sidewalk, I would have just grabbed daughter and former son-in-law. They both had gas problems and being outside was no help.
 
So a Rom I was using just got pulled and the notice seemed to be a little shady sounding. The thread was closed immediately (suspicious?) And abruptly, so I pm'ed the dev to ask if there was a security risk with the Rom. His reply was curt, and he didn't answer my question.
I didn't like that.
I know it isn't like I'm a paying customer, but it was a pretty straight forward question. He could have even said he didn't know because it was something about the base he used from a dev team. Something would have been nice.
 
I have a stray kitten staying with me for now, we can't keep her long-term (lease restrictions, plus problems with our established cat), and local shelters are full. Bonus points: solid black, right near Halloween. :(

What GRINDS my gears is when you have some loser that thinks he / she knows everything under the sun when really they know NOTHING at all with that kind of attitude. ;)

The continuous news coverage of the devastation of the hurricane. I understand that it is terrible but personally, I'd like a couple hours where I could watch network television without it being interrupted by a politician to say something they have already said or that could be recapped in 10 words (maybe 20) on the 11pm news. Enough already. Not one damn show has been able to play uninterrupted (mostly on ABC)

We get crawlers on the bottom of the screen. I was surprised that Fox actually ran the world series instead of the debate. The last all day coverage we had was the Waldo Canyon fire. We haven't seen too much of Sandy except on the news.

Fires on the Front Range are a problem. Winds will bring the smoke up and down the 125 corridor, so anyone living along that can be affected. So all the stations do crawlers or break in with announcements. You are in the area that could be affected.
 
Pulling in to get diesel and out of 8 or more pumps, only two of which have diesel, all pumps are wide open EXCEPT for the two pumps with diesel and GAS VEHICLES are parked there!
 
Freaking Robocallers!!

There's another scammer (some timeshare or cruise) now who doesn't give up. I turned off VM. Usually these idiots hang up after 5 rings. I heard the most of the midi version of Cocaine the other day - guess this fool just listened to see if anyone would be bothered enough by the phone ringing to pick up. I just made a silent ringtone and gave it to his number. Haven't seen a cruise line/timeshare caller for about 3 years.
It's been Rachel or political.

BTW - a MID format will play the whole song. It's all digital and a 5 minute song can be under 50K.
