Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

Calling Verizon customer service these days is such a joke. I called tonight 3 separate times & asked each agent the same exact question, of course I got 3 completely different answers. :shot::banghead::banghead:

Grrrrr.
Don't people get that if you drive bumper to bumper, and don't let people merge, traffic will continue to suck for no good reason?!
Then they get all pissed when someone acts in the same fashion and won't let them merge!
It's not hard. Leave a couple car lengths between you and the person in front of you. Someone merges, and you back off and make the space again.
Then you don't have folks stopping in the middle of the road trying to merge because no one will let them in.
Grrrrrr.

Things that don't cost 10 bazillion dollars really make me go like this bruizer...

So that's what's wrong with my cat. The Snowshoe just meanders in front of you and you have no idea where the heck she is going. You try to avoid stepping on her and wind up tripping over her.

Im sick of elderly (lets say over 60) people dissing younger generation's (im 37) "bad attitude" when theyre some of the most acrid, rude, sometimes unwittingly racist, ignorant disrespectful people ive ever encountered!
Wow i love this thread :)

I think it's the ME FIRST they don't like. Take a look at helicopter parents and you can see why.

6 People Who Took Overprotective Parenting Way Too Far | Cracked.com

If the kids grow up with the feeling they should be cosseted by all, there will be even more complaints. I didn't pamper my kid, I ain't pampering yours. I heard some of this at work - the requirements that job applicants wanted were pretty outlandish. Small office and we saw the more ridiculous resumes.

This is what gets published so this is what is normally seen. The younger people who do think for themselves and have normal values do not get written about. There seem to be plenty of them.

I was coming get across these helicopter parents 10 years ago. I was 25 and competing against women (girls?) the whose parents wrote their resumes. One called in to negotiate salary. Thankfully I got hired on merit. Then when another position opened up, I watched first hand as a parent brought in her daughter to sit on the interview. It really happens!

When I get through the day and I wonder how I managed to achieve so little.

Today (from about 2pm to now)
Did homework
Talked to friend on FB
Set up Ps2 emulator
Ate
Went on forum to post this.

Anyone got tips for increasing productivity (apart from turning off my computer)

I give myself 30 minute increments. I HAVE to do something productive for the next 30 minutes. Then I can read forums for 10 (or whatever I want to do). Then 30 minute productivity and so on. Works for me, knowing I will get 5-10 minutes to do something I like

What grinds my gears? Oh why not. The company I work for doesn't understand that trusting managers to run a location and not having people watching is a bad idea. My boss thinks it's perfectly acceptable to let people slack off doing at MOST half of the job they were hired to do, yet if I accidentally break a piece of equipment, I get yelled at. The thing I broke was $500, yet they spend thousands on employees who don't do their job and don't consider it waste.

I guess until people in the U.S.A. (and anywhere else as well) wake up to the fact that stealing isn't just taking things that aren't yours, but also letting people steal from their employers, and start clamping down on lazy people, this cycle will continue.

People on food stamps, WIC, section 8 housing, unemployment, and government paid medical care buying lottery tickets, beer, cigarettes, and other junk on cash. If you can afford that stuff, you can afford your frickin food.

ugh.....stupid laggy laptop...wifi ... constantly disconnecting me...messin with me........just knock that off!!!!!!!! dang it

Samsung forcing s3 users to buy a specific, non universal tv adaptor (MHL-HDMI) (is there any technical reason for them to have changed pin configuration?) and then when you buy it (oem), it works for a month then dies! Apples business model but without the quality!!!
(N ive never owned an apple product lol)

Hey guys! I just thought id post a nice little rant. Right now its on pc's and drivers and such.

Im done with dang pc's. I just reinstalled windows xp (could go ubuntu again but then no "jar of beans") and it took away my wireless card driver (naturally..). I wasnt too mad about this but i didnt have an ethernet cable.. soo i was stuck trying to find drivers for it from my phone and connect it to my pc.. which is fine.. but once they did go over, none of the drivers i found worked! Including official ones from broadcom themselves.

I tried installing android x86 but somethings wrong with the install and it loops rebooting.. so im saying screw that project.. probobly not compatible with my processor.. i was gunna take windows and fire up jar of beans every time i turned on the computer.. well since i cant connect to the web.. it aint gunna work.. so i try and download it to my phone to just transfer it over.. unknowing if my wireless card would have a driver on jar of beans anyways.. and wouldnt you know it.. the download crashes every time i try and download it...

I am now saying screw pc's and laptops... just frustrating and i dont want to deal with em no more. Im entirely phone now! I was planning on running android on my pc anyways so who cares right?? =p

But with this venture i must ensure a new phone.. which i will be doing in a few days here.. or at least ordering a new one... anywho.. screw pc's! I grew up mobile, why backpedal into the past and fiddle with pc's??

Im getting the htc evo 3D. I will probably root it as i hate htc sence and i dont care that much for the 3D feature (of course if this stays even after root, i wont complain) but still, htc sence kinda stinks.. bloatware.. but if i need any huge filage, i will get a micro usb to standard usb coupling and keep some files on a jump drive. Ive had it with pc's..

Anyone else feel like pc's are a bit over complicated??

The one problem i DO have is that id need a pc for root.. thats an app that should be made... a rooting app =0 then we dont need pc's at all! Haha please someone make a rooting app, that would be fantastic! Lol. I hate using my pc.. anyone else agree??
