What grinds my gears? Oh why not. The company I work for doesn't understand that trusting managers to run a location and not having people watching is a bad idea. My boss thinks it's perfectly acceptable to let people slack off doing at MOST half of the job they were hired to do, yet if I accidentally break a piece of equipment, I get yelled at. The thing I broke was $500, yet they spend thousands on employees who don't do their job and don't consider it waste.
I guess until people in the U.S.A. (and anywhere else as well) wake up to the fact that stealing isn't just taking things that aren't yours, but also letting people steal from their employers, and start clamping down on lazy people, this cycle will continue.
People on food stamps, WIC, section 8 housing, unemployment, and government paid medical care buying lottery tickets, beer, cigarettes, and other junk on cash. If you can afford that stuff, you can afford your frickin food.
