Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

We aren't. We worked like hell and saved everything. Even paid off the Vulcan's school loans before interest started. We just didn't buy anything beyond the necessities. We have some toys now, but we are getting complaints about not supporting the economy since we don't buy every new thing that comes out, bother with commercial entertainment, etc.

That grinds my gears - getting complaints if you are responsible!

tell me about it...the people that are on the" nothing to live for tour"..that just go and buy things they know they can't afford..like houses and huge mortgages and etc..etc...and they get a bail out..and a slap on the wrist...and then blame everyone else for their misfortune...

oh well..guess in the long run..those of us who aren't.. hypnotized by the shiny new things will win the race..so to speak..
kind of like the fable of the tortoise and the hare..:)

It just grinds my gears that I can't find anyone that wants to take me for a ride on a motorcycle. I don't want dinner or drinks, I've been told I am a dream passenger and I offer to help pay for gas!!

A good passenger is wonderful company on a ride. I'd love to take you for a ride, but I don't think I can make it out that way any time soon ;)

The rides around here are pretty awesome. I bet the East has some nice ones too.

Too bad you are in Jersey. I'd volunteer the Vulcan. That would include spouse and bike.

We had a bike back east during gypsy moth caterpillar season. I don't know how many the Vulcan ate. I could hear them slapping on the helmet.

It was like one massive spider web all over.

Thank you! The thought in this case does count - it made me smile. I've heard the rides out there are amazing. And we have some nice ones....I've only done very local trips (an hour or two at most) but it's been over 2 years since that.

The perk of being a passenger (and a short one at that) is that I don't get too many bugs since the driver makes a good wall. :)
