Yeah no-see-ums (because they're small) are a pain in the rear, so are the small species we call black flies - bigger than no-see-ums but the same swarming deal.

Still, the couple of holidays I had there were most enjoyable. I don't know if you know a song called the Mingualy Boat Song (Corries for one did it) which has a line like "What care we tho' white the Minch is". If/when I visit again I'll change it to "What do I care 'bout the midgies"...
Warranties that are darn near impossible to make a claim on. Companies that resist fulfilling their responsibility to the customer, etc.

Wretched Adobe updater. The way after every update it pops up an "update complete" dialogue which has also pre-selected change to my update settings.
One day I'll select "don't tell me about updates" just to be rid of this.

When it comes to warranties and customer relations, persistence is key.
Keep bugging them, but be calm about it... escalate your claim up the support chain until you are satisfied.
A calm, reasonable person expressing dissatisfaction is dangerous to them, because it means you have the means to really screw up their reputation (or cost them lots of money with lawsuits).
I haven't won every fight, but I have gotten my money's worth out of companies such as HP, Creative, and AT&T...

I've never seen Adobe updater. I blocked it with the firewall. 2 legacy computers aren't even online.
This happens to be Illustrator CS2. It won't install. Photoshop and Indesign are CS3 and I have Photoshop CS5 on a legacy box. I always preferred Illustrator 8, and still do things the way we did Freehand in college.

I am in a foul mood tonight. My team blew it in the NBA finals. My package I ordered off Amazon still isn't here. I ordered it a week ago. I am very angry right now and I do not want to be even more angry so please refrain from insulting the playing abilities of the San Antonio Spurs until further notice.
