Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

Its happening here in scotland too. People are even downloading it from zedge for their non samsungs! :banghead::banghead::banghead: :)
 
I just realized that in my haste to upgrade my Mint installation from 14 to 15, I inadvertently wiped out some 8Gb of music I'd ripped into the /home/dngrsone/music folder.

It took me three days to rip those CDs... :(

This is grinding my gears:

Dish Network technician came to my house to work on a signal issue while I was at work and replaced my DVR receiver.. along with all my recordings! Noooooo!!
 
Sorry, Stinky. But a lot of the southwest is bone dry and has a good multiyear drought going. We have a fire threatening 2 mountain towns along with ski areas. The terrain is so rough it is hard to fight.

We just lost over 500 homes to a fire. Last year there was one that took almost 350.

New Mexico has at least one large one, and someone reported one in Arizona.

Depending on wind patterns, anyone can get a bad dose of the smoke. One day we could barely see across the street.

Most were started by dry thunderstorms. No rain, but wind and lightning.

We even have some coal fires that have been burning underground for almost a century.

Yeah I finally realised last night and I looked up how hot Mercury is (freakin close to the sun) and found out it is like a good scary 400 plus minus DEGREES there!

I thought to myself "wow you guys must all be on fire by now with that temperature! :)"

So it was only then when my "anti-mindless" self took over and said "You mindless fool! They are talking about that pathetic Fahrenheit from that equally pathetic system... whats it's bogus name again??? ... yes I think it is "imperial" but it is for losers anyway! :D"

When it was December last year there were quite a lot of fires around my area and there was a lot of smoke.

The one time there was quite a lot of smoke I started coughing a bit.

But we never were told to evacuate (but this could be because our government is like a glorious No. 1 for the most corrupt shit heads on the planet...) like you were.

The last time there was a "crazy" (it wasn't even that bad compared to you dudes like USA) storm but ja it was slightly bad but it never freaking came close to our home!

It is always faaar away high in the sky and makes the glass vibrate badly at times but never struck our house!

Yeah, hearing is fine. As kids growing up we had lightning hit the house twice and the yard at least a dozen times (sometimes within inches of the house).

...all part of living in "lightning alley." ;)

Sad song actually... about an unfortunate youngster losing his mind at school.. :(

Edit: He goes on a rampage and kills a whole lot of kids at school... so sad... I know how that feels when you can't take the bullying any more.

(listen to the lyrics very carefully ... very sad song actually even though it sounds very up beat.)

I so felt like this at one point... I know how much bullying hurts people when you hated at school for God knows what...
